GROUP FITNESS CLASSES!!!
The Visser Family YMCA is always clean and orderly, the staff are friendly, and the equipment is in good working order. Our family members all visit in the morning - when it tends to be less busy - but the staff are all great! It's not the newest or largest Y facility, but they have done a great job of keeping it in excellent condition, maximizing the use of space, and the customer experience has always been top notch.

Nice weight area, clean and well kept. Good equipment. Staff keeps children from being in adult area.

I like the kid-to-teacher ratio. They make the kids feel comfortable in the water.

Helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. Clean facility. Nice locker room. No issues getting on a treadmill or elliptical.

Very friendly. Not so many rules regarding classes and you can use the hot tubs when there are classes going on. Tyler does a great job managing the lifeguards and pool. He has a great personality. Love that he has recently started an aqua aerobics class on Fridays. He provides a great workout and a fun class. Better than how Spartan Y pool was/is managed. I switched from there because the aqua aerobics instructor was doing the same old exercises for the past 7 years. Her personality was no longer a good fit to instruct. I’m much happier with all the aqua aerobics instructors at Visser pool.
The space for machines.
We like going to the Visser branch. Very close to our house. Staff is nice and helpful. Facility is clean.
Pool/hot tub/steam room. Very clean and works all the time.
Community feel with familiar faces. Good hours, childcare is excellent.
We have enjoyed the excellent swimming instruction for our Grandchildren!

I value that Visser Family YMCA experience truly embodies "Family". Whether it's the opportunity for my own family to participate in the programs, Kidzone, or swimming pools - I also appreciate that the staff and members take time to build relationships in a way that feels like family.
Nice people, good basketball court space, nice classes, I also really like the smaller side room for hand weights-it is much more comfortable than the big room with heavy weight machines.

I like that they provide free after school care for Jenison and Grandville 5th-8th grade students.
I use the pool exclusively and appreciate the friendliness of the Lifeguards, the people .
I would appreciate the lap pool to be a little warmer, like 80 degrees.
I also like how you employ adults with special needs. I feel like the gentleman with dark hair needs more to do...He seems to just sit with nothing to do. Perhaps he prefers that ?
