Friendly kind staff, lap pool is a little "off" in measurements, most weights are awesome, patrons are also kind and wonderful.
Schedule, location, and Coach is outstanding. Both men are excellent teachers, well organized, and make it fun for kids. The team has improved every week.

I enjoy every moment I spent at the Visser YMCA! The staff are friendly, the facilities are abundant and clean, and I can always find a spot for a challenging workout. They consistently are improving upon their equipment quality and offerings and the layout of the building. I’m also excited to see the growing pickleball and basketball culture here, as I love a good pickup game before or after a lift. Thank you GR YMCA!!
Jason and Tyler have done an excellent job with the Visser girls grade 1-2 soccer league. Practices are well-organized and my daughter has learned alot. They both have very encouraging and wonderful personalities for working with the girls. They're great!
Water is not so cold. Instructors are kind, patient, and focused.

Friendly staff, great organizational and member cultures (much different than the other Y branches)
I like that they listen to member's request. I rejoined for the warmth of the Family Pool,
and then found the temperature was lowered so much in January that we all were too cold. They did turn the temp back up after several requests, so I am happy that they will accommodate members requests. I only wish they would turn up the temp in the Family Pool downtown because so many complain, so not sure why the Visser Y does so much better. DDH Y response is "you will warm up when swimming" but that is not true for the seniors that use it, because I swim nonstop for hours, and just get colder and have to get out, so I am happy to have the Visser Y accommodate members concerns, and I at least have one location where I can swim. Not sure why all are not the same as Visser Y, but that would be awesome.

Love the new renovations! Still would love a Sauna at thus location. Please fix the fan by the stair steppers!!! It doesn't move back and forth!!! 🙂

Everyone is welcoming and pleasant when you arrive at the Y. I enjoy the water aerobics classes every day. Made lots of friends.
