We love the Wolverine Y. The kid zone is awesome. We use it all the time and would definitely love to see it expand with activities for ages up to 10 or so.
Everyone is friendly but not intrusive. They have enough equipment that you are not waiting on anyone. I like that the track is set in a way you can watch different sections of the building.

Beautiful windows, the machines need to face the sunrise to take advantage.
The downstairs weight area is too crowded to move safely around those lifting very heavy weights. The pull up station is in a trap position.
The clocks are too hard to see, there is a huge clock in YMCA Cascade. Minor.

I love the Wolverine YMCA. We will be lifetime members for sure. I love Susan. She was my personal trainer for a year.

I like that their showers and bathrooms are always clean. I enjoy swimming and using the hot tub, but more than anything I love the friendliness of your desk people. They make me feel very welcome.
Altough lately they have a new person by the front desk that does not seem as friendly as the younger ones. She is an older person that works towards the end of the day. I am not sure what her name is. The times that I had greeted her on my way in or out of the gym, she simply does not acknowledges me. I am surprised to see that she will say something to the people walking behind me. It makes me think she might have a problem accepting other ethnicities. It is a shame, because for almost 9 months I have been a member at YMCA Wolvering no one has ever treated me like that!

I love the YMCA! It is a little bright spot of sunshine in my life.
Everyone is so friendly. My kids love the classes and their instructors and we're quick to make friends with their classmates.
The childcare is the best here of all the ymcas I have been to. I love that there is a big kids area in the same room, sectioned off but still accessible, same with baby area and I just think their toys are nicer here as well.
Pool isn't great but it's toasty warm. They have TWO family locker rooms.

I have used the outside walking trail a few times. Most fitness places only have indoor walking options. It's a little more affordable than last gym I went to. I like that In can use a different location for the pool/hot tub if this one is down for maintenance.
The quality of the facility and group exercise classes are only second to the friendly staff and members that make the WWW Y a true place of community.
I have been missing the last half of 2023 with a broken back. I am back now and enjoying the pool and hot tub. I hope to do some other things before long at the Y. Thank you. Sharon Last name removed
