Best gym I’ve ever been to!! Gym and locker rooms and equipment are always clean. Pool and hot tubs and showers are always clean and sterile. Staff are friendly and helpful and always on hand. I think part of their training must be watching any potential health emergencies to occur because they are always very attentive. Thanks YMCA staff!

GREAT PEOPLE
I like the family pool and family locker rooms. I am a mom of 5 under 10 years of age.
Everyone is so friendly, and the sauna is actually hot enough! Some of the other locations seem to be way less warm and it takes longer to sweat.

The new equipment and layout with more space
I find the environment in the lane pool inviting and friendly with conscientious lifeguards and swimmers accomodating of others. In particular the leadership of Art with the Masters swimming groups is superior: his knowledge and coaching fits for every swimmers level, providing encouragement in an inviting way. On top of that, he helps other swimmers in the pool even if they aren't part of the Masters program. That's clearly the sign of a caring Y staff instructor.
I love the way the instructors take their time with my son. He is 10 years old and this is his first time in the water and he is actually enjoying it. I want to thank you all
It is excellent until the parking lot goes away. Then I will probably use a different facility. I expect this building will close soon after that. Build us one on the nw side, please.
I love the Y downtown! The facility and its diversity of people from all walks of life in the city makes it delight to workout at and be in.

Big, clean, and has everything anyone needs to get in a good workout.
My kids are still young and the way the workout equipment overlooks general play areas was very convenient for me to allow space and supervision at the same time. Also I was still able to get a workout in while my kids enjoyed the facility as well.

Friendly front desk staff, LARGE pool that is warm. Ample bathrooms for locker room. Piano music in the lobby, parking readily available in lot for members. It would be nice if the pool slide operated more often than once/twice a week however.

I am however very concerned about parking in the future, especially walking to the gym from GV parking structure in the winter time.
I like the open atmosphere and friendly staff & most clients who attended.
I like the clean facilities, hot tub, sauna, steam room & pools. The hrs. of operations are also good!
The one complaint that I do have are the people who constantly are on their phones for 5 minutes or longer while on a machine taking up time instead of working out On that machine, causing others not to be able to use the machine.
Please do something about this not only selfish rude behavior but also a lack of respect for others & a negative aspect of the YMCA. There are hundreds of people trying to use the facility only to deal with the problem of trying to workout & cannot get the use of a machine due to someone sitting on a machine using social media or streaming videos that has nothing to do with working out.
Please do something to make working out easier to get in & out of the facility in a timely manner as well as getting through a workout without all the hassle of people constantly on the phone!

The poor drainage resulting in standing water in the men’s shower area is a constant deficiency, but after trying MVP (which is paid for by my health insurance co.), I’ve decided to stay a paying member of the “Y.”

Diversity and sense of community in group classes
The community is always very friendly and I never feel unwelcome or uncomfortable here which is unlike most gyms that I have been to in the past.
