My daughter was at Northeast After Care. I think the program provides very good value for the price paid. I liked the counselors and my daughter was very happy when I picked her up every day. The consistency and hours provided are unmatched and I think it's a true asset to the community that this option is available for working families. Very reliable, and responsible caregiver
I like that my son has a safe place to be after school, while both myself and husband are still at work. He gets to do most of his homework, gets to spend time with some friends and he is occupied having fun until he is able to be picked up.
We like the art and programs like the Halloween and Valentine’s Day parties. Also, mentions of Zumba were overheard. Thank you for the engaging and fun activities.
The teachers are wonderful (particularly Ms. Yasmin, who genuinely adores the children and even their younger siblings whom she has gotten to know over the years). I also really like the STEM, Zumba and other extra experiences that have been folded into the afternoons.
The staff is awesome. I also love that they are culturally diverse. My child is Black and it’s important to me that he sees people who look like him in positions of authority. The staff members are kind and responsible. They really get to know the kids and the parents. They engage with the students, play with them, and do their best to help with homework. If there is a conflict between students, they address it in a responsible and kid-friendly way that is geared toward resolution and restorative justice. Finally, they go out of their way to create opportunities for the kids to learn and enjoy—STEAM activities on Fridays for all kids, holiday crafts and parties, and goody bags for student birthdays. As an only child, my son loves being able to spend time with friends and other adults. It is often difficult to get him to leave at pick up time because he enjoys it so much!
Love the care the staff shows, I also love the many acythe kids are involved in aftercare.
My kid gets his homework done there and then he gets to play and be creative without the aid of any screens. The counselors seem nice and engaged.

However, YMCA Montclair is TERRIBLE at communications! I’ve been trying to reach a human since before Christmas! Same with the swim team (been trying since Aug!). I’m not sure why you bother having email addresses. I hope someone sees this and responds to me: Email address removed
The staff at bullock is kind, respectful and responsible. My daughter has fun and I love that it’s located at her school.

We LOVE aftercare. My son says it’s his favorite part of school. All the caregivers are wonderful. Friendly and patient and fun! They always have fun activities for the kids to do. Can’t wait to sign up again next year!
I like the hours and it's affordable. My son who is 5 in Kindergarten gets to play with classmates and use up energy. It would be great if they could play in the gym more or outside. He loves to play basketball, tag, run around, etc. The teachers are also very nice and helpful. It's been great for me as I work full time from home and in NYC.

Children are engaged in a variety of activities, both physical and creative. They are given opportunities to choose what they would like to do. Children are supervised, held to rules and standards, and are kept safe.
