Christina has been amazing . Very patient, encouraging and kind . Takes her time to not only explain the technique but also shows how it should be done. I would recommend anyone learning how to swim to join her class .

The temperature of the air and water are usually comfortable for my toddler not to be cold during his lessons. Our instructor is friendly and keeps the classes fun.
I love my Beginner Swimming Lessons. One of my desires is to learn to swim, even now, being that I am a senior. It's never too late to learn!
The Instructors are very patient and competent. They explain things in a clear manner before asking you to perform a certain technique. The instructors do not force you to go beyond your comfort zone. (I am afraid of deeper water but I'm inching in it gradually). They let you know what area you need to improve in, whether kicking your feet, extending your arms, breathing or etc. I am overcoming my fear of water and I can even swim a little. l have learned a lot and I look forward to another session in the fall.

Class sizes limited & that you now need to sign up for classes. This works much better than hoping there is room when you get there. The pools are great & the main reason I come.
The Montclair Y is a wonderful community experience where members can engage with supportive staff and a particularly progressive leadership team. The building may be old, but the ideas are fresh and vibrant. The Montclair Y certainly adds to the charm and appeal of the town and fits in with its values now and into the future.

The YMCA has many of things to keep a person healthy, strong and active.
I love swimming laps and I love the steam room. Some of the tile pieces need replacing. My husband also loves the steam room after a workout. He tells me it’s not always working properly.
The lifeguards and front desk staff are very nice as are the women who clean the women’s locker room.

I know team had a lot of transitions but I feel our group was insulated from this. Madison is awesome and a great coach for our kids keeps them focus but is kind and approachable. Her dedication ( even came to watch the 8 and under championships but then ended up coaching and helping those of us who marshaled for the first time). She clearly cares about the kids and swimming. She seemed to be pulling the administration weight for the team this year too. We are very excited to have Kyle join as head coach. And Leo as a jr coach this summer and I think her name was Bri have been great additions for the long course. Team is competitive but not overwhelming as some other teams I have heard about. We look forward to next season.
