Everything, the staff are amazing, the facility is old but it is kept up well
I enjoy the activities and espaecially the woman's pickleball on Mondays. Just going to sign up for other activities this season.
I’m able to bring my Parkinson’s patients in the therapy pool. The difference tge pool makes with their movements after is truly amazing to see.
Thank you.

I was only there for a clay class, and it seemed very welcoming and fun
Friendly staff and great facility.
I like the fluent check-in. There are many options for cardio and weight lifting. It’s quiet and I get a sense that it is my space. There is access to cleaning supplies. The staff also come around and clean the machines. The layout is convenient and the staff is very helpful. At times there are events occupying the track and the events are interesting To watch.
The 25 yard lap pool almost always has lanes available (as long as you are willing to share, which most serious swimmers are happy to do), and the hot tub, dry sauna, and steam room mean that I leave feeling warm and relaxed after a workout.
Ease of parking...many machines in one area..lockers are in a nice area ..downstairs from workout are but easily accessible by elevator ...nice track available much of the time..though I don't use it..great that fee covered in my case by silver sneakers
I have attended dance classes and water fitness classes for over 10 years. The instructors Kellie Ellis and SandyJo Jordan are the best! The front desk staff is always pleasant and eager to help. I have made many friends at the Y!
Beautiful facility, friendly staff. Patty does a great job with pilates classes.
Love to watch the little kiddos across the hall from the gym!
Love the staff very friendly and helpful.
The Hal Welshman East Area YMCA is our top spot for our family. My husband and I go there almost every day. The work out room has all the equipment we need and as we get stronger additional weights, machines and equipment is right there for us. We also are very involved as members of the Active Older Adults group. There are art classes which vary for your ability and a new monthly cooking class that is teaching us new recipes while meeting new people and having a great time. My husband is advancing with weekly drumming lessons and learning to work with clay, water color and drawing lessons. The instructors are all very knowledgeable as well as patient and kind. This Hal Welsh YMCA is an integral part of our lives and our goal to remain healthy and strong. Our grandchildren enjoy swimming and loved their time in pre school sessions. It meets the needs of our entire multi generational family.
I want to give a shout out to Ted who teaches the strength and cardio group exercises. I fell off the work out band wagon for few months. I recently started back with the group exercise classes and was so touched Ted remembered me (remembered my name too!) And he genuinely seemed happy to see me back. It was a great feeling and really glad you guys have such great instructors!
