Member Testimonials
I have found the Sequoia Y very welcoming to everyone! There are many areas to work out, several trainers to work with and everyone is polite and helpful. Members are able to work on a variety of machines without feeling cramped and the facility is clean and well-maintained. The pool is another asset for those who love swimming and it too is well-maintained. The pricing is very reasonable and seniors are treated with respect and given a discount on fees too, which is super.
I'm also told there is a fund to help those who may not be able to afford all the dues and that is what "community" is all about. I've been very happy to be a member and would recommend the Sequoia Y to anyone looking for a great place to exercise, train and find community!
I love your aqua aerobics classes and that the staff is so friendly.
The front desk is fantastic, very friendly, warm and welcoming. The entire place is very nice, and friendly, the members and the staff. All the programs are great. This gives us a true community feeling. It is very uplifting. I love coming here to exercise.
The family mood, in a fríe environment.
I have built a whole new community of friends. We check up on one another, support when needed, and socialize. Many are people I would not have met were it not for Y pool fun. Volleyball is a grest gatherer of people.
it provides financial assistance for the swimming classes.
I love the friendly family feeling at the YMCA. There are numerous Aqua Aerobic classes to choose from. I can get a daily workout with your schedule. I love the Sequoia YMCA much friendly than Palo Alto YMCA where I used to go.
Friendly staff, good workout space and equipment, location and parking are convenient, affordable programs.
hours, location, water extractor, water dispenser, variety of offerings
Diversity of activities, group training opportunities, e.g., LS training for cancer challenged persons. Supportive staff!
Great place to get exercise.
I like the classes, the gym and the spaces with machines.
I also like the instructors.
I wish the schedule of clases was more clear and easy to read. I also wish there was the possibility to build a routine through the week. For this, the same type of clases would be distributed consistently 3 times a week, at the same time of the day.
For example: Body Combat Monday Wednesday Friday 9:00 -10:00; Yoga Tuesday Thursday Saturday 9:00-10:00; creating morning and evening routines.
Anyways, grateful for the Y in our city and neigborhood!

P.S. you print is miniscule, and hard to read
I love YMCA. It literally changed my life.
However I would appreciate more mobility classes in the late evening - after 6:30-. Such as Pilates and yoga. Barre more often would be AMAZING.
I dont currently take classes but I’m glad so many are offered. I used to take alot and may go back to it in the future. I use the treadmill, weight machines, free weights currently.

Best is Raj. Absolute best. Humble, kind, considerate, and motivating. Invest in good people and the equipment becomes secondary.
