,swimming
group exercises and gym
The attention to seniors and our health is excellent especially Annette’s Stretch and Balance class and Larry’s Senior Fitness class. The water aerobics classes are also good but difficult to access. Anu is the best teacher. I did have an explanation of how to use the machines but I never took advantage.

The variety of classes and programs for all ages.
Aquatic possibilities since the water is my best chance for recovery
The Ross Road Y is working hard to assure access to water exerciser and swimming.after COVID. Kudos
I like the eGym equipment, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub.
Trainers are courteous and helpful. Equipment is clean and functional.
The trainer, Jamar, makes the gym feel so welcoming and inviting. The new director, Rebecca, really listens to the members and is working on getting things done that have not been taken care of for a while.
Kids club is amazing. My son likes to go and it gives me a chance to work out which I am so grateful for.
I like the fact that I can walk to a place where people know my name. I wish there was better communication. For example, there was a big power outage on Sunday and there is no way to call to find out if the Y had power before leaving home. The only way to discover if it is closed is when you get there and see a sign on the door. That is wrong. Getting better communication to members about closure due to power or class cancellations through text, twitter or similar is necessary.

Actually, I use very few of them - aren't relevanat to me
Love the water exercise classes. Just wish it didn’t conflict with senior fitness.
basketball courts, trainers, location, parking space, not too crowded.
Group classes, gym
Deep water exercise class is the only workout I've done. It was recommended as a no-impact class for my back pain, and this is the only location I could find that offered it.
Would you like to hire more professional instructors for the Aqua fitness program in the Recreational Pool of Palo Alto Family YMCA? The old instructor, Carol, does not have particular exercises for class. Unfortunately, she has most classes during the week. The teachers should have several activities for 45 minutes of aquatic class.
The wellness center has good equipment, and the trainer that I have worked with is very good.
Clean and very nice vibes. Tucked into a nice quite community.
Cleanliness, often the sanitizing stations stay empty for days, the small studio could have better ventilation.
The teacher was great, had my son moving he whole time. I really felt like he as learning and engaging during the entire lesson.
My son loves the afternoon swimming class.
I wish there were 1 on 1 swim lessons so it could be more inclusive for the needs of the children. The decision to only do group lessons doesn’t follow the values of the Y.
The locker room facilities are very nice. The environment is welcoming.
It is a friendly place to exercise. The teachers are helpful when we need personal help. I enjoy the water arobics for my personal enjoyment. and workout.

Pool, stretch room, staff very friendly and helpful, great facility maintenance
