My kid gets his homework done before coming home. He gets the tutoring he needs and he gets to learn social skills by hanging out with the other kids. It also helps me with child care while I'm at work which is very helpful.
Fantastic environment for my child. Love the outdoor play and space this location has. Great staff and excellent communication between staff leads and families.
The teachers are wonderful, they plan engaging activities for the kids and take excellent care of them.

Miss Kim and Miss Wendy are amazing at Old Fort! I know there are a lot of boys in that group and it can be a challenge! Blake and Levi enjoy the activities both in centers and outside. Thank you for offering this program at Old Fort!
I like that my child chooses to go to Beaverdam even when he has to option to stay home.

We like that there is active time for the kids to be outside, even in cold weather. That is a priority for us. Also seem to be good options for activities inside.
I love how communicative the team at Avery's Creek is. The programs are wonderful and my kids are often asking to stay longer. Every holiday there are fun additional activites which are super engaging. I recommend YMCA to everyone!!

I like that program is on school premises. Program coordinator Maddie is very kind amd cooperative. My daughter likes the going to ymca very much.
Prioritizing kids to be outdoors and away from technology! And Molly and Jack -- they are wonderfully kind and great role models for the kids.

The YMCA is a great place for my kids to learn and play after school. They love to see their friends and hang out.
Afterschool is great and the staff are reliable.
I like that pickup isn’t until 6pm and I like that school out days are covered also. It is helpful to single working parents that depend on childcare to be able to work. The staff are friendly and great with the kids at North Buncombe.
Kids get outside, food seems to be nutritious, daughter reports all adult staff are kind and caring
Most importantly my child LOVES attending afterschool. They help with homework on the days they can and she even ask me to pick her up later than normal just so she can finish an art project they are working on. The counselors are great, very involved and truly get to know the children . The Weaverville site has been great! My youngest is so excited to join her older sister at that site next year.
I love that most of the camp leaders actually interact with the kids, I rarely have issues with my child not wanting to be there or feeling like she has no one to play with. One of her favorite group leaders even reads her library books with her and she loves it so much

The all year program is a life saver for me. I’m a working mom. Between school days ending at 2:30, teacher work days, holiday breaks.. it can be really hard.
YMCA has been a wonderful experience for my daughter. She has really enjoyed it.
Good to have for a few extra childcare hours after a half day program.
