Great staff! They work well with the kids
Study Hall - The dedicated time for this, right after school while the child is still engaged and has support staff to help and guid if there are any questions.

The staff at the Hominy Valley Elementary site are AMAZING!!!! Abby loves them all, and they are so wonderful with the kids. I couldn't ask for a better experience than we have had with the YMCA.
The YMCA staff is so friendly, energetic, and create fun activities for the kids.
As a parent I really like everything about the after school program, when I go pick my son up he's always out in the field playing with the other kid's he enjoy the art activities&any activities they do at after school & the Teacher are really Great with the Kids & making sure they are safe at all time's..

Great job coordinating with parents to help students who are struggling. They go above and beyond for the students in their program!
The no electronics part while they interact with friends. We like it because in Weaverville you have all that big outdoor space but also the trailer and the gym for rainy/cold/hot days.
As a suggestion, ask them what sports or activities are they into and try to create balanced teams to do those activities a bit more competitive. Make a list of what each of them likes and then make a weekly theme (or daily, or monthly how you want). For example basketball, soccer, drama, jumping ropes, for rainy days, sewing, drawing, melty beeds. Last year the coynselors got a baseball set and that was great, the kids were very excited. Unfortunately it got broken quickly and never replaced
Professional and friendly staff
My kids have a lot of fun and the staff is great. I love that you take the kids on field trips and do different activities on site. And I so appreciated that the program opened up for full day care when schools were closed after the hurricane, it was an incredible service to the community.

Lake and Anna at the Hall Creek Elementary facility are absolutely the best. My daughter loves going to the aftercare program and connecting with both of them on a daily basis. Thank you Anna and Lake are truly remarkable people.

Your teachers and leads are great at the Haw Creek site and I can trust my son is supported and looked after. I appreciate having school closing days covered as well. Overall my son has been very happy with the after school program.
We love all the outdoor time the kids get. Would love to see a revival of clubs like athletic club for more kid interaction.
Being that I’m a single mom and my son is now in grade school, having YMCA after school has been the BEST program I’ve experienced! I’m able to work holidays I wasn’t able to when he was in daycare. My son also loves the program and has made great friends outside of class and loves the staff as well! I love you guys myself! Thank you!!!

My kids love the afterschool program
The hours, first and foremost! I don’t know any other program that allows two full time working parents the opportunity to have a school-aged child to be in a program that accommodates until 5:30/6pm during the week, over the the summer, and during Christmas break!
We love that she comes home with drawings and bracelets. She talks about her counselors all the time!
