some classes are starting to get too full. bring down the maximum by 5-10 people.
More than one bathroom and more than one studio. More space in the reception area, it gets very cramped and wet.

Variety of class and times offered
As a team I wouldn't say I was disappointed. The staff are friendly and really helpful. It's more studio based. I wish there was water outside of the actual studio, maybe in the waiting room. I also wish there was hot tea. It's a little unsettling that there are no lockers and that the change area is wide open where everyone leaves their personal/valuables - not to say that the members or staff are up to no good. It's just a piece of mind factor. The energy in the actual studio is amazing so that's why I'm a bit torn.

I have been taking classes at Semperviva for about a year. I came to the studio relatively new to yoga and have taken classes with a number of teachers (mostly Power Flow). I have had several small injuries and strains due to poor placement or repeated stress in class.
Of all the classes I have taken, I've noticed that very few instructors give individual corrections. I understand this is hard to do with such large class sizes, but I do feel that as a beginner (and looking around the classes I am not the only one) I would benefit from corrections to fundamental elements of my practice.
As a studio who welcomes students of all levels and in such large class sizes, I would love to see some effort on the part of the instructors to help students with less experience or those who are visibly practicing with poor alignment. When the classes are very full, a second instructor could be on hand to help with corrections.
I like the classes at Semperviva and want to have a healthy and happy practice, but it made me sad to know that continued neglect in class has led to injury. For that reason, I would be reluctant to recommend Semperviva to someone who was new to yoga.

Offering yoga at all hours of day. Diversity of yoga styles we can take wirh one pass and professional level.
Consistent instruction, friendly staff and clean, welcoming and tranquil spaces
Facilities are too small for number of people. No real place to change. Washrooms are not accessible except during class or between classes, which seems weird. Bottom line, it just needs more space overall.
The heating system is too loud. I could barely hear the teacher when it was on.
Yin and restorative classes where instructors don't talk constantly. I enjoy the meditative components as well.
I was really discouraged to see FOUR students on their mobile devices in the studio, sitting on their mats, waiting for class to start. This is not the sort of community culture I look for in a yoga studio.
I also found the changing area really cramped after class, as students were changing to enter class and our class exited.
Yoga studios are everywhere and a competitive market so compared to other yoga studioes in Vancouver this location and instructor was disappointing. Between how loudly the instructor played her music, the noise of the bus stop outside the windows, the banging coming from the ducts above, and people continuously opening/closing the door to enter/exit the practice room to use the ONLY bathroom in the studio one could hardly relax. The instructor did not ask if there were any new students in the room, instead a she rattled off the different pose names and roamed around the room, not to help anybody out or correct people's poses but it seemed to keep herself from being bored. Being relatively new to yoga I had to keep getting out of my pose to look at what everyone else is doing since the teacher herself wasn't demonstrating it. And it didn't help that I couldn't hear her over the music. Definite room for improvement.

I like the practice space - clean and simple - and I always find the staff very helpful and pleasant.
I love everything - the studio, the reception desk and the instructors. However, classes are often crowded. Also, I go during the week after work but, since I live in Burnaby, makes it more difficult for me to come in on weekends. Would opening a studio in Burnaby be something we can look forward to in the near future? :)
