We love the coaches and the sense of community we get at the Y. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Sarasota Y had ballroom dancing every Saturday night at a cost of $12.00 person. They needed a minimum of 110 people to break even. Often there were well over 200. No one has picked up that business.
This is a perfect time to kick it off. Trailer estates hasn’t started back. Bradenton Women’s Club has limited space. Cortez Moose isn’t consistent. Palmetto Moose has dancing every Wednesday night and it’s full. The 88 on Cortez is thinking about re-opening at $10.00 per person but space is limited. Bradenton just needs some tables, chairs and a small combo band.
Need more classes, maybe get some local companies to give health lectures like doctors, chiropractors, exercise instructors!
I recently joined the Bradenton Y - having been a member of the Kissimmee one for 20 plus years.
The staff at Bradenton y are always helpful, positive and never short of a smile. They knew me by my first name, within several visits, that’s always very welcoming:)
I regularly reserve a lap lane, yoga place, meditation class or aqua fitness- all instructors are excellent, and make you feel welcome and you can settle in at the level your use to or push for further fitness. Life guards are great - they too know me by name and always wish you a great day. They have been super safe with covid - masks whilst walking around etc. I feel it’s a safe place . The open up the doors to the greasy air by pool area if you ask. Some guests are more at risk for COVID and they respect that. There is a limit on class numbers - social distancing in the pool and online signup - I have always managed to find a reservation. They really do a great job at this Y
I love the friendly, welcoming atmosphere at the Bradenton YMCA. It starts at the front desk when we check in and extends to all the classes and activities.
Hours and instructors
I love the fitness center, (it's never crowded when I go), my wife does the group yoga and loves it.
Variety of courses. Varied age groups.
Educated, competent instructors.
Excellent variety of available options. Diverse offerings of group exercise classes. Outstanding, experienced instructors.
Friendly, family atmosphere.
Safe and clean.
Well organized.
Professional and friendly staff.
Enjoy water aerobics and other programs for over 55 adults. Sad that you are not bringing back senior center.
First and foremost, the heated indoor pool is great, along with the staff. I use it for my arthritis therapy and cardio workout. Also, the front desk staff is quite professional and kind. Individuals, such as, Sue, Tamara, Lisa, and Cynthia are standouts. In the pool, Emma and Sydney are awesome. Finally, it would be very nice if the pool went back to 9:00 pm closing and open on Sundays. Thank you.
I go there to swim and it's very user friendly and staff is very helpful and knows everyone's name
Hello, I use the Olympic pool M-W-F at the Bradenton Y. I enjoy making a reservation for a single lane for just myself. ( I’m not bumping into anyone lol ) Everything is so clean at the Bradenton Y! And the whole staff are friendly and cautious.
In my opinion,-
“I do believe everyone should make a reservation reserving a lane for each time attending.
I believe no changes should be made to the way signing up is done. Even after the Covid epidemic is over. My suggestion is two or three lanes should be opened every hour to anyone swimming anytime.
I believe if a member takes the time to make a reservation they should be rewarded. Thank you for all you do. Marta Belle

The social aspect.
I like the variety of programs at the Y. Currently I only do Water Aerobics, I think that is best at my age. In the past I have done many other classes as well as the Fitness center. My husband uses the fitness center.

I love the YMCA. It’s very family oriented. I love the people as well
Love yoga with Barb, love Pilates/Barre with Leanne, love doing personal training with Leanne. Don’t love the facility so much, getting out of date, small rooms, no light. Luckily currently there are good instructors who make us happy ant to continue to be part of the Y. Also love Cynthia and Georgia.
Everyone there does a great job, very friendly.
I do a few classes a week and the instructors work very hard at what they do.
A good fit for me.
I so support the Y because they serve so many populations. I believe in their core philosophies. I feel supported and valued at the Y.
