The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The equipment and facility are both clean and functional. I can’t think of one negative thing to say about my YMCA in Punta Gorda.

BUT there’s one pool instructor who is unpleasant, and not welcoming, so I don’t attend when she’s teaching

Lots of equipment and activities compared to a traditional gym for relatively the same price

Love the choice of classes. From Barre to Combat to Senior classes. Something for every level of fitness. Instructors are superior to most gyms I have worked out in. Playing mahjong & other games there & of course Pickleball.
Lots of availability of different programs for the whole family
The group fitness classes
As a senior, I go to the 'Y' to swim laps. I don't use the equipment.

I’m very happy with the number of class opportunities and instructors.
My only complaint is the equipment could really use a facelift. Handle grips and the vinyls on the seats are very worn.
