We really like the Y and spend a lot of time there as a family. We would really appreciate child watch hours M/F at least in the mornings and starting at 4:15/4:20 in the afternoons would be helpful for families trying to get other children to 4:30 classes like swim. We would also really like to see adult (spin/yoga) offered with more regularity at 4:45, 5/5:30pm for those who need to get home to dinner with families. Otherwise we love everything about the Y!

I use the pool, and the Y has really stepped it up as far as upkeep of the lockers, showers and pool itself go. Things are being kept neater and cleaner, and there is some new equipment in place. There's a pretty good variety of classes offered daily. Staff at the reception desk and on the pool deck have been friendly and supportive.
My only request continues to be evening aqua classes-at least once a week. It was being looked into, but nothing came of it.
I like the classes
It's a friendly place, has great instructors and the classes meet my needs. It was also very easy to get the assistance I needed to get started with the fitness machines.

The Y offers amazing classes with positive and motivating instructors. But it’s also a critical gathering place that fosters a wonderful sense of community.
Exercise classes in Melrose are great, especially with Mia.. Some early morning classes would be appreciated…7:30am instead of 8:30am to fit in before work day.
I am thoroughly enjoying the aquatic strengthening with Bea Mills.
I can see the improvement since beginning in October. Highly recommend.

I take classes with both Kay and Mia. They are excellent teachers, very knowledgeable and kind.
I have used your facility the last two years for recovery from two consecutive knee replacements. I have found the staff friendly and helpful. The other members are considerate. The facility is well maintained and clean.

I very much like your group fitness classes at both the Melrose and Saugus YMCA. You have exceptional instructors, especially Veronica as she is the best. I always feel that I get so much out of her Saturday 8:30 AM class. I only wish that the great classes during the week , notably the 6:30 PM classes, were alittle earlier as I do not like getting home at 7:45 - 8 to eat as that is kind of late for me! Other than that, I am very happy I joined the Y last Soring when my gym closed and I do highly recommend to all my friends.
Everyone is very welcoming and helpful at the Melrose YMCA.
I find the senior aerobics class very helpful and fun to be at, and I am getting what I need to keep myself moving and staying . healthy with the help of the instructor Kay.
