I just finished my second class in weight lifting for menopause. I can’t say enough about Nicole! She brought me out of my comfort zone. I usually stayed away from the fitness center and all the scary machines! She is a fabulous instructor. She also has a wealth of knowledge in nutrition and offered many tidbits. I loved the class so much, I plan on taking a third session in the fall.
Group Ex classes are included with your membership! Lots of great classes to choose from without an additional expense.
There's so much benefit to signing up as a family. Classes and camps alone make the membership worth it!
Very professional.
Nice variety of programs, friendly employees.
I like the group fitness classes. Lets of good options!
Outstanding Staff & Program Choices! Wonderful Facility!
I like the personal training and the availability of classes for other activities.
Joining the YMCA has been awesome so far. The Child watch hours are great! I also appreciate how clean they keep the gym, bathrooms & showers.. and all the staff have been very friendly & helpful!
No judgement. Great teachers. Good facilities affordable
It's safe , and Katelyn pap is an amazing director. Thank you for giving my son a place to go as a young adult to continue good habits and hobbies through the tough times we face worldly. Gratitude
I have been a member at the Y for about two years, and I am very pleased the service I receive there. The staff is nice and professional, the instructors are great and there are a good variety of classes available during the day. I am overall very pleased with the Y.
The facilities are good and the people are nice.
I am no longer a couch potato. Live Strong changed my life. I am continuing to follow the program on my own.
Pickleball and Pilates classes. My husband likes the pool and sauna too. Adult workout rooms are great. Only complaint is not enough room to put a mat down and stretch, and the Monday and Friday CC Pickleball times are underutilized. Should open them up to Casual Friendly players or maybe one for beginners. No one has showed up for a couple week as now. Thank you!
I love the Melrose YMCA. I have become a fan of lifting weights thanks to the AMAZING Nicole Wade. The community at the Y is very welcoming and supportive.
I love to swim. The lifeguards can be very helpful. I really enjoy everyone at the Y.
I love the variety of the classes the YMCA offers. I take Strength , Yoga, Pilates and TRX classes and enjoy them all. I also went through the LiveStrong program for cancer survivors and liked it so much I am now a mentor. Courtney and Jeff have a great program that offers strength, cardio, stretching and balance to help cancer survivors improve their health and also support their overall mental health.
I have only used the bike and haven’t used your other facilities yet. It is difficult for me to get transportation, so I have’s been there very much.

I only use the fitness center but with the move to the second floor and the new equipment it is so much better than being in the basement. I am there at 5AM and appreciate it when it is raining or cold that we are allowed in the doorway until opening. In the past this was not allowed.
I only use the work-out equipment.
I think the Melrose Y is great. I take classes there and think the teachers are great.
I wish there were a few more options at night for Yoga or Pilates. Like on Wednesday or Friday
I enjoy the swim class.
