The swimming pool is great!

I've been pleased with the ones I've attended.

The indoor pool is wonderful for our children. We have enjoyed the swim lessons. The family bathrooms and changing rooms are very helpful with young children.

Youth basketball, group classes, swimming lessons for kids.

I love that the YMCA serves everyone in the community, not only those who can afford it. When we work together, we make our community stronger!

The weight room is always clean and full of the equipment we need. We enjoy the pool, basketball court, and the clean locker rooms. The staff is always polite and helpful.

We really enjoy the group fitness classes.

We love the aquatic area and the children’s sports activities. We also love to use the facility for working out, but just haven’t been able to with scheduling conflicts for our family during the pandemic.

You don’t have many programs at the moment but I love how clean you keep your facility. My biggest complaint is your new “Covid” mandate which doesn’t allow me to use my state wide membership. Well I can use it in Paris but because of Covid I have to joe pay $10 extra per visit. The staff at the Paris YMCA said it was because Lexington Ys won’t allow other counties members to use their facility. Also, my mother-in-law who’s 80, wasn’t allowed in the Whitacker Y even though she a silver sneakers member, “because of Covid.” I believe the limited classes and other rules are great diminishing people from joining and I’m sure hurting your business.

I have not used the programs but I enjoy the wellness center.

Right now with Covid??

The *only* activity I do at Whitaker is swim laps on Sundays because it is impossible to swim at Beaumont on Sundays because it is so crowded. The other two facilities, which are *much* closer to me remain closed on Sundays. It is closer for me to drive to Frankfort than it is for me to drive to Whitaker, but it is a very nice facility.

Clean and spacious facility with a wide range of equipment for any fitness goal. Wonderful environment for family activities. Respectful and personable staff. I have been in many gyms and recreational facilities throughout the country and have found no better all round facility.

I love the variety of classes and programs that the Y offers. From group fitness, to preschool basketball, to swim lessons, to parents night out. The Y provides a place of learning and community for all ages.

They offer all sorts of classes. Great atmosphere and nobody judges!

The workout equipment

I love the classes, especially Zumba. I love the staff and trainers-they make working out fun!!

What I think needs improvement-How some members are allowed to talk to staff members without repercussion. I have hear members yell, demean, and be just rude to staff, and then the next time I come in, that member is there. One time, a very large man yelled at a staff member, 2 inches from her face, because she politely asked him to put a mask on. To the point that the police should have been called and him escorted out. Next thing I see, is that member is there, and ALLOWED not to wear a mask. I am a health care provider, there is no disease process--other than advance COPD--which someone with that would not be working out--to not wear a mask. Now he is allowed to break down staff and put my health and everyone else's in danger. There should be zero tolerance for that kind of behavior.
