I only use the pool. I used to do lengths and aquafit but stopped the lengths due to shoulder joint problems. I now attend the aquafit classes and they are a life changer for me. I have been in aquafit since the 1970s.
During the shutdown months of the pandemic I had much more difficulty with my range of motion and comfort level due to arthritic joints. I returned to the pool about a month ago and although attending only twice a week, within three classes I was noticing a marked improvement in my comfort level and range of motion in all limbs. Strength and balance are a added bonuses and I give full credit to my aquafit classes. The benefits of these classes for me over my lifetime (and I have been in the water since I first joined the Y when I was 8) can never be overstated. The sparkling water is the best mood drug on the market!
The facility is clean and bright and a pleasant place to be.

Although Covid is making things difficult the YMCA is making it work. Lane swimming, aquafit, fitness classes and the gym. I also really like the "Plus" change room.
I don’t participate in organized activities I just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere for doing a general workout. Staff is always available and friendly when I have questions.

The staff and involvement that youth have within the programs led by a wonder lady by the name of Amy she is always helpful and cheerful and a great ambassador to the ymca name.

We love that swimming is back. It’s such an important lesson to learn, and with 18 months to no access to a pool it was lost time for our now 6 year old to learn this valuable lesson. Within the short time that we have been back, we have noticed a measurable difference in her comfortability in the water and her skills at swimming. The instructor is great and we love the facility.
