Everything it’s such a great place to visit
I enjoy my time at the Y, and I do try and keep my children engaged but lately it’s been more difficult, I have teenagers and the only thing that seems to be available to them is basketball, even pool time for their age group would be nice, not being judged by older eyes or extra careful of the young ones. What’s going on with the slide? And the rock climbing wall? Life guard training opportunities would be nice for some of teenagers maybe looking for jobs for the summer?

What I don't like:
. Class schedule changes times and canceled without notice to attendees and instructors
. There are no waste baskets under the paper towel dispensers on the 2d floor, except for near the restrooms. This makes no sense bc we spray disinfectant on the machines, use paper towels to dry them and there is not a readily available waste basket to discard the used towels.

The staff is great and makes you feel welcome. The people there are all friendly and have made new friends. Instructors very helpful and devoted to their job. Gets the seniors out and that’s very important for them to be able to exercise and be around people.

Great facilities but all the lanes in the swimming pool were taken for swimming lessons so there was no available lane for laps

The Very Friendly Staff, Michelle, Jay, Deanna, Barb, Luke, McKayla, & Christian who greet you every morning with a friendly sincere how are you today greeting! The fifty something members who interact with you to make you feel like a family member! The facility is always clean and has an atmosphere of good quality goal oriented people!
I’m been a member for only eight (8) months now and I ask myself why did I become a member sooner? It Definitely 💯 has made a huge impact in my quality of life! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friendships! The Down River YMCA IS A DEFINITE PLUS AND MUST IN MY LIFE!
They have a great pool and friendly staff and always are doing something fun for the kids. little kids and grown up kids!
Cleanliness of the facility
Child watch, the pool, and kids classes are the best. I especially love seeing so many familiar faces; people work there a long time and make it a community.
