A limited experience so far, but the Birmingham YMCA has very helpful staff and facilities and activities ro cater to all. The facility looks very clean.
I have liked working out with Flavia as my personal trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable. I interviewed two female personal trainers before m, but she was the first one who wanted to know my personal health concerns. Also, the Y is only about a 10-minute drive for me.
I love the water aerobics classes!! I’ve been using the Y pool for 46 years! My daughter who just turned 46 had swim lessons with me at 6 months of age. I swam laps for years I have made many friends at the Y. We still see each other there. I also have used the weight room machines and after swimming go for a little bike ride on the machines. The water exercises certainly are the best way for me to exercise as I worry about falling! Knees amd hips are replaced and the gentle water exercises make it possible as I can’t fall down in the water!!!!!

I take several classes at the Birmingham YMCA, mostly Yoga. The staff and instructors are wonderful! So friendly and helpful. I also occasionally use the Wellness Center, which is always clean and well maintained. Thanks!

The staff was very knowledgeable and very polite.
I love that there is no contract and payment is month to month which allows flexibility. I really like the variety of classes and various time slots. The updated exercise machines are a plus. Also everyone is so friendly and eager to assist.
