My son is having so much fun with the Jr Celtics. It has been a great program so far!
My son is 12 years old and on the autism spectrum , this was his first time playing basketball and as a parent I was very nervous . His team (Cowens) along with the other teams , the coaches and the referees for the league have been very inclusive and made it a wonderful experience for him, it has been wonderful watching him participate and feel proud of himself and have other people cheer him on.

We love the feeling of Family. I’m so happy I’m able to bring my child to school and he’s not scared to have me leave. He’s very comfortable with everyone. I’ll be sad when he moves on to grade school.
Since the change in leadership, the staff morale has changed and it is obvious that teachers are happier in their roles. Some teachers have moved classrooms and I'm extremely happy with the teachers that have been assigned to my son's class! My son loves going to school! He brings home some great art work, but the art isn't just product art it's learning based. I like that I can see the teachers are actually doing curriculum. Parent communication has improved which is awesome as well!
The programs run smoothly on Saturdays. The basketball teams are good sports and encourage all to play.
I liked that they had a boxing punching bag. The facility was busy but very nice.

Very nice clean, people friendly. If you need any help you will get. They have different classes - you can attend witch you like. Yoga classes I recommend. You can work on many different machines. I like this gym , only I wish they be have swimming pool .

The staff is friendly and helpful. In the years that I have belonged, there has never been someone at the front desk that isn’t smiling or friendly as you come in the door. They also listen to suggestions and do what they can make the place better if possible.

The coaches, the new facility, pricing, all of it! All 3 of my children have benefitted from YMCA sports, childcare and camps. I'm a huge fan thank you to the dedicated staff!
In my experience (having been a member of the Y for almost a year), it’s a clean facility with friendly staff. The classes are engaging and fun. I love that I can drop my 3 year old off to play in kids club (at no additional cost!) while I go work out. My family has also taken advantage of the free parent and tot gymnastics classes and open gymnastics time! We love the Plaistow Y!
The staff is amazing, and my boys have so much fun here. They started in October 2023, and they have come so far in just a few short months. They always have fun things to do, and they have learned so much. And I love that they get to go outside daily if it's nice out. My shy 3-year-old has really come out of his shell since starting here and has made so many friends. We love sending our boys here and it's a relief knowing they are in such great hands!
