I would greatly recommend the Beverly YMCA because of all the easy accessible options, however, I took my daughter to the open bounce house the other day and all the extension cords were exposed. It is an accident waiting to happen as so many kids stepped on and slight tripped over them. There should be something like a floor mat over those cords so that no child trips and gets hurt.
Variety of classes
Best options. Such a relaxed and spacious gym.
Very talented teachers. Free parking. The new sauna and locker room are great.
So many work out and sports options. Love it!
I love it!
Great staff - feels like such a nice community. Clean, excellent equipment and always upgrading as needed. Love the yoga classes as well.
I love it!
Love the Zumba classes, plus the aqua cycle, and Aqua Zumba by Alejandro. plus staff and members are very friendly
Sterling Y is so very clean and the staff are all great. So many classes are offered. My only issue is that it is so popular that many classes are full and the pool lap lanes are crowded.
I use the pool for exercise as I have arthritis in both of my knees. I expecially like the small section of the pool to walk back and forth and then to hold on to the side and exercise my knees and legs.
Since I was there in November you made additional improvements in the changing area by putting in a bench in the changing rooms and hooks to hang your clothes on while changing into your swimming attire. It is so much better than just a chair.
The staff are very helpful in keeping one informed if there is to be a change due to private lessons. They are also very attentive.
very friendly atmosphere, clean, and convenient.
The long course (50 meter) pool is one of a kind and the YNS Masters team is the best!
the people how at the desch
Friendly and helpful employees. Always a smile and positivity! Great facility and many opportunities for healthy life.
Shout out to the awesome kids club staff, especially Tina! My daughter loves kids club, and the grown-ups there are great to work with from a parent perspective. I also find this Y clean and functional every time I’m there, the staff are friendly, and I love the buzz of community in the cafe.
Fantastic tumbling classes that are effective and available to girls in all age ranges.
Ms. Giselle is extremely patient with our four year old. She runs a structured and smooth gymnastics class
Great facility, friendly and helpful staff.
The coaches are amazing! Very well run
Thank you Ms. Katy and Ms. Alma for being great teachers and always having a fun filled classroom. We love our teachers !
Matt Lane the sports director is terrific! Over the last year, my 2 grandsons have been involved in basketball programs ranging from skills and drills and progressing to travel teams. Matt is wonderful with the kids, always positive and encouraging, approachable and responsive to any questions and just overall professional and kind. They are now taking skateboarding lessons too! His communication skills are topnotch both in person and online. Thank you!
Ms. Haley and Ms. Thalia are incredible. They are deeply kind and caring. They somehow maintain order in a classroom of many different children with different needs, gifts and challenges. They give my daughter personalized attention, build her self esteem, responsibility, creativity and curiosity. She says, “I love Ms. Haley and Ms. Thalia. I love when Ms. Haley teaches us in centers and when Ms. Thalia sits with me.”
I really appreciate how engaging and well-organized the program and activities are. The activities are fun, educational, and help children build confidence, social skills, and creativity. I also like that the staff creates a safe, welcoming, and positive environment where kids feel supported and excited to participate each day
Great place - staff. equipment, everything. Happy to hear the BAC will soon be a Y - it's getting pretty crowded at the Sterling!
Each of the swim instructors we have had have been excellent! They do a great job of meeting with each kid where they’re at while also encouraging them and challenging them to grow in their skills!
The Y is a part of our day - for exercise, of course, but also for socializing with friends and participating in community efforts.
You get alot for the price. There are so many classes to take. I really appreciate that most are free. The pool is great, esp the sauna. Looking forward to seeing how things transistion with the BAC aquisition.
I like the pool.
Every time I come in, I'm greeted with a smile, everyone's courteous and happy and the place is booming with life

People desk are friendly know your name look out for your address. Locker rooms are clean. I love the pool.
