The Beverly YMCA has a great clean pool. Renovations of locker rooms turned out wonderful.
I only use the Y for swimming and I have been swimming there on and off for 40 years. My only complaint of the Beverly YMCA is that the swim classes with music play the music TOO LOUD.
I bet that the level some of the classes play their music would be against some type of safety regulation.
If someone in the pool was quietly asking for help, you absolutely would not be able to hear them. It is so loud at times it is uncomfortable.
If I need to talk with someone you have to yell.
This is a new phenomenon at the Y's. Music never use to be played that loud. Marblehead is the only Y that does not play the music too loud.
