I love to steam room at the Salem YMCA and the pool. So far that's all I have really taken advantage of.

Ashley Springett is the most wonderful instructor and overall great person! I wish I could take a class of hers every day. She not only leads an incredible workout, but I leave her classes feeling HAPPY and ENERGIZED. Her energy and good karma is contagious!!
The Friday night fun is a great safe environment for the kids to socialize and enjoy swimming and other activities. It also gives my husband and I 1:1 time.
I swim laps and I can almost always find an open lane when I get to the Y after work. It is clean and the people running it are pleasant and welcoming.
Friendly nonjudgmental diversity mostly happy considerate people. Clean with some exceptions in ladies showers. Spin class bikes need upgrading. Hard to maneuver.

It’s consistent! My 4 year old has the same instructor that my now 8 year old had at her age, Laura! And the gymnastics room is big and feels clean (cleaner and smells nicer than it did 4 years ago) and well maintained!
Gymnastics is so well organized. I'm amzed at the number of kids and age ranges using the gymnastics center at the same time. Kids are all engaged.

We are enjoying it a lot, The Directors, Teachers, and everyone who works in this place are wonderful and very attentive people. I love the classes
After not having been there for 10 years, the Y looks nice and updated. The facilities are extensive. The pool offerings are extensive. I especially like to see that adaptive classes or one on one with disabled people or kids are going on in the pool whenever we come--it seems very inclusive. It's really great that these folks are being welcomed to stay active and be part of the Y community. It's also great role modeling of acceptance for the able kids who come in for classes.
My daughter had a lot of fun with the dodgeball group. It was structured just enough to make it safe and fun, but also not too structured that it felt, for lack of a better word, unfun. Thank you!
