Aspen is a wonderful teacher. Her music is unique as are her classes.
But there needs to be a cardiac defibrillator at every CorePower center. I have been to 5 different sites in Boulder County and sadly there are none. Could Corporate make this a priority
It's a bustling operation, full of variety. It feels like home though. The plants in the lobby are healthy and plentiful, the place is clean despite the impossible turnover hour to hour, day after day. The non-handicapped shower in the men's room needs its water pressure adjusted at some point.
My fellow students are considerate and kind although I think summer brings newer ones who confuse the hot practice with the C2 and sculpt practices, and thus, for instance, mouth breathing occurs instead of nose breathing. These few seem to seek a workout first and not a measured, balanced meditation where the workout emanates from the quiet effort. I have no idea what to do with this group, but I do wish they would listen to the teachers' cues more often than they do.
Size (and its concomitant, money) has trumped the smaller, exacting, personal guidance once offered. It is the reluctant tradeoff every business must either resolve or accept.

For Broomfield East, I follow Nicole around and regularly attend her hot classes on Wednesdays and Fridays. Do you know what I like at the most basic level? The humidity. I could go on and on about how she controls, directs, and truly flows through a class, giving essential cues if people are willing to listen, which most of the time they aren't, but the excellence arises from her careful and subtle guidance, much like a gentle hand on one's back when wobbling, in concert with the wonderfully difficult, challenging humidity. I leave with a sense of accomplishment, refreshed and thinking about ordering from Jet's Pizza almost next door. What a pleasure.
My home location, and it feels like home. Instructors make a point to remember you and support you. Classes are challenging, the heat is just right, and the vibes are wonderful.
