I liked how kids worked both individually and as a team. Both my kids have really enjoyed being in the program. They are both challenged and genuinely enjoy being out on the course with fellow young golfers.
The PGA Jr League is a really fun league where beginners can learn the game of golf, and some more seasoned kids can mentor yet still be competitive. I think all PGA Pro’s that run this should focus on the goal of growing the game, not just winning the playoffs. This is super important!
My son absolutely loves playing golf and this helps him get to know other kids that like the same sport!
I love PGA Jr!
Fun and encouraging. Good coaching and lots of learning.
Great experiences for the kids
We liked that the schedule was conducive to a family. We also appreciated that sportsmanship was taught as well as skills within a competitive (yet, not overly competitive) environment.
Team atmosphere, lots of practice opportunities, and new skills learned.
Instructors are great!
Great way for beginning golfers to get a taste of golf tournaments in a noncompetitive setting.
It gives kids an opportunity to play competitively in a low-key way working on both individual performance and teamwork. A fun experience for kids and parents.
The opportunities for my grandsons to golf with other kids on a variety of courses. They also benefitted from the coaches instruction. It’s a very good program.
Great opportunity to learn the game and get familiar
All of it! It’s an awesome program!
I like that the kids get to learn team play and competition
My son loved the program.
Fun stressful golf
The team concept
Exposure to golf with qualified coaches who are fostering a fun environment.
In our community, PGA pro Cameron Milton is effectively using this program to introduce the game of golf to numerous kids who wouldn't otherwise have an opportunity. The program design allows kids of all skill levels to compete with one another.
My kids loved it! Would definitely do it again.
Everything!
Great opportunity for match play at other courses against other kids. It was a great experience.
I liked that the kids got to play fun local courses and learn such important tips
The Broken Top instructors were great and the kids really enjoyed actually playing the different courses against their friends.
I think it is a great program and it gives kids an opportunity to travel and play other courses.
The kids that participate in Jr League have a huge growth curve. The parents have been amazed at how much better they are after the program. It really gets the kids thinking about competition and the importance of practice.
I like the coaching and social aspect of it. Also how the coaching and team meeting continues into the colder/wetter months. I like the best ball practice and thought it was interesting how they played with players from different teams for the final few games - although my child was very frustrated by this, as the calibre of players varied greatly. I liked how the older players had to support the newer ones. I did think during the tournaments a little more oversight of parental interference might have been helpful during a few games. My son was under the impression (he thought these were the rules) that the players decided amongst themselves if there was a disagreement, and often I found the parents would step in and override decisions the children had made. It was a great experience!
It was a great program for my 14 yer old to play with different people on different courses. Great intro to golf without a ton of pressure. Just think that parents/adults need to be there to keep the kids moving along as some kids can be painfully slow, unless prompted.

It’s a fun way for kids to experience golf! Coaches are supportive and knowledgeable and the competitions are fun and relaxed!
