GREAT Program!
It was a great opportunity for our child to have fine while learning the basics of golf.
I like the fact that the kids get in some practice with PGA Pros and also get the feel of competition with the match play format. Stroke play would be too discouraging at the younger ages. I like that they get to meet other golfers their age.
That it relieves pressure on the younger kids by playing a scramble format, and that the instructors are very encouraging and knowledgeable.
This was our first session on PGA JR. We were so impressed with the coaches and other players. The golf community was so welcoming to our 6 year old new player and very patient teaching him the game. He loves it so much and can't wait for the next session.
It was a great introduction to golf for my son and he greatly improved while doing it!

Our child really enjoyed all aspects of PGA Jr League, from the individual and group instruction to the competition. We’re all looking forward to next year.
The concept.
What I don’t like is that as kids, They should be able to partner with local golf courses to give the kids free or discounted range fees. Instead, there is no incentive for them to learn
J participated in two different leagues. Both had an extremely professional staff. One facility had great teachers who truly made a difference.

The competitive but yet fair minded way they score the game makes it a lot of fun even for golfers that are at a lower level than others.

The league is very organized, great with communication and led with great coaches. We had our son play in the league for the 2nd year in a row and he really enjoys it. We might not be back next year only because we've relocated.
We just enjoyed having the opportunity to participate.
I am a high school golf coach PGA Jr is a great way to get youth involved in a fun way that hopefully carries them through to HS. I appreciate that it is a national organization and run by PGA pros so that I can also step back and be a parent to my own kids, but make a connection with others.
It is great for kids who are truly just learning. Unfortunately, our son is 15 and we didn’t know he was going to be playing only 9 holes as well as using best ball instead of playing his own ball the whole round. We ended up taking him out as it took way to long to play 9 with kids who were just learning.
Great way for my daughter to experience golf in a fun environment.
Being able to play at courses where I normally wouldn't play.
Stepping out of my comfort zone and playing against someone (I usually like to play alone or with someone I know).
