We have a terrific coach this year that spends a lot of time instructing the kids, showing them, talking about concepts and then letting them try it. We highly recommend Coach Kevin as a Junior PGA coach as he is very patient and kind to the kids. My son was sad he didnt get on the same team as his friends this past season and he struggles at 8 years old doing all 9 holes when other kids dont come to the tournaments but other than that it's a great experience.

My girls are on the older end of their age group, and playing with younger players has taught them leadership skills they wouldn't have otherwise gained. I've proudly watched them play their best while also encouraging the younger players, and not getting discouraged if, as a team, they may not win the round.

In our case , close proximity to home limited travel time.
My son is fairly new to the sport and has come a long way in his physical ability to play the game. I believe the scramble format and having to share his strategy verbally with a teammate will make him a better golfer in a MUCH shorter time.
This format also removes some of the stress he feels while playing and it is a nice break from the normal tournaments he participates in.
