The format gives players a chance to develop within a group. The structure of the matches is fun and the opportunity for more tournaments is exciting for the players and the parents.

PGA Jr. League at Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, TX has been a great experience for my son. He has enjoyed playing and was so surprised to have made the all-star team. My one and only disappointment was at the sectional qualifier this past weekend at Grand Lakes. My son's team did not have a coach or a team captain present to coach them, give them tips, even on a sporadic basis. Coach Corey Ryan would drive by sucking on a 40 oz fountain drink, but never gave any advice, coaching, and never stepped out of his cart. The pair that my son and his partner played... their coach would come by on difficult holes, give pointers, instructions, pep talks, etc. I was disappointed, but this is our first year to be a part of the program and maybe that's the way Crown Colony works. I dunno!
