The coaches
Team event. Friendships.
It was a great time for my son, teaching him to play golf now gives him the tools to be a team member and an individual contributor.
Our kid had/has an amazing coach who does a great job of teaching and keeping the game fun. The facilities where tournaments are held are nearby and are quality courses. For our daughter, having a teammate (2-person scramble format) really helps lower the pressure and encourages discussing what shot to use next, etc.
PGA Jr. is a great opportunity for junior golfers. It allows them time to practice the game without the pressures of scoring. The program is very flexible. There aren't any penalties if you are unable to participate on a given Saturday. My child has been involved in this program for the past couple of years, and truly enjoys it. She loves getting to play with other golfers her age. She enjoys being able to play and just have fun.
It provides the kids an opportunity to grown in different areas.
I liked the exposure to the game that my son experienced.
Was a fantastic intro to the concept of team and competitive golf for my son. Our program director was extremely knowledgeable and patient with the players. And consistently made time for each kid every session. Will continue with the league!
The coaches truly care about the kids and they not only work hard on making them better golfers, but to develop a true love for the game.
We like the team concept and the fun experience and joy it brings to our daughter. Golf can be hard but with friends with the same goals it makes it so much more rewarding.
It is a great opportunity for my son to play a round with friends, meet new friends, get practice and learn how to compose himself on the course in a low pressure setting.
Getting kids into golf
The coaches were very patient and supportive of all of the kids. They showed a genuine interest to spread their love of golf and work with the kids to improve their skills.
Giving the kids the opportunity to play with other kids their age, camaraderie, play competitive in their age group and prepare them to play in high school and college.
It has been a great league & great people that are like family now!!
I thought it was great for the kids
Good character building for young golfers... and their caddies.
I feel it is very organized and the kids have a great time.
I love the team environment and learning how to play in tournaments.
Our son had taken an interest in golf simply because his dad and I really like it as a hobby. He wanted to try a new sport moving to Texas from Canada so he thought he would give golf a try. We had him in academy lessons to learn the basics properly ultimately making the sport more enjoyable. He always liked these lessons, but it was joining the PGA Jrs that lit the total spark for the sport. He absolutely fell in love with the game itself. Since joining PGA Jrs golf has become such an important and special family event each week. Joining this league introduced the whole game, how to strategize, how to work as a team and cheer each shot and player on, how to push yourself, and grow each swing. We absolutely love PGA Jrs and cant speak highly enough about it.
PGA Jr league was a great experience for my son. Our coaches at Eagles Bluff are amazing!
It's a great intro to golf for kids.
The practice / play format. It really helps when you can either practice something and then apply it the same week, or in play you realize you need to work on something and you can practice it before you play again. Also liked the relaxed atmosphere with no pressure when playing the 9 holes. And the scramble format makes it go a little quicker than a normal 9 holes would.
Stephen Zaudtke is an amazing coach!!
Easy to use website and friendly for my kid to play
Not only did I think it was great for the kids, but my 11 year old did as well. We are very lucky to have a staff that takes a genuine interest in our kids, not only as golfers but in life too. It was well run and wasted very little time for the kids.
