What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Everything, except the pace of play. My son is ten and typically tees off from 5:20-5:50. The last two weeks we’ve been walking out of there at 9 on a Sunday with school the following day. Last week at Turnberry on number six I believe, a par 3, had a foursome on the green and then the beginning of our age group with three diff groups on that hole waiting for them. So pace if play is my only concern. Other than that it’s been a pleasure for my son to play in. Thanks for all you do!!

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The program is a great way to get the youngsters into a dying game. The youth are the future of the game. Both of my children, Alex - 14 and First name removed - 9, have and are playing the game.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Everything. Our coach is awesome and the course we play at treats the kids on our team wonderfully. It is like a home away from home for the kids, and I have no doubt that they will have many favorite memories from their years in the program.

One recommendation would be adjusting the participation rule to require that all players present play 2 flags (rather than the current requirement of 1 flag) provided there are 12 or fewer players present. This would be more in line with the point of emphasis of the program of participation over competition.

The only other item I would consider would be limiting team sizes to 12 players, as it is difficult to coordinate pairings for 4 games with more than 12 players present. However, I am torn on this as it potentially limits the # of kids given the chance to participate.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

It's a low-pressure, team-oriented environment in which children can learn to play golf - a sport that can otherwise be difficult to take up.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Allowing kids to play at a tournament level teaches a lot of responsibility, teamwork, etiquette, help to develop social skills, and makes them mature at a nice level but
are still able to be kids.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Kids learn the game of golf in a competitive environment with a partner in a scrambles format. This set up decreases the pressure on the individual while developing strategy as to which ball should be played.
