PGA Jr League was an overall positive experience. It was a little hard to find a league that did not require a country club membership. We did end up finding one which made the league affordable for our family, with parents that don’t golf but a daughter who enjoys the game a lot.
It was really engaging for my son. My only critical feedback would be that it seems to have too many kids sometimes for teams. It’s not quite as fun when the third team player has to sit out for one hole while the other two play. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Our Pro, Scott, has really taken the program to the next level. The combination of matches and instruction is great. My son looks forward to every scheduled event
Practice times are a little difficult but otherwise a lot of fun
Kids learning game and interaction on the course
Jim Wise ran a great program that was right-sized for our 10 year old son - we can't wait for the next season. Thank you!
I like that the golf course is practically in our back yard. The current coach is excellent.
Team format and all star play
It’s a great way for my kids to learn the basics and etiquette of golf. It’s a no pressure format with encouraging instruction.
The coaches and staff are all very positive. Mallard is well organized.
Suggestions:
More instruction throughout the season. It would be wonderful to have a high school/college golfer or pro providing guidance while on the course to further develop their skills.
I would also like to suggest coaches provide feedback and tips when the players show up to the driving range to warm up during their match.
Environment created by the coaches and volunteers. Like the team play concept
It was a great learning opportunity for kids to learn game and participate on a team
Makes it fun for beginning golfers.

The league was well organized and fun not only for the players but the parents
Meeting the other players and parents. The coaches made us feel welcome
Great introduction to the game of golf. Kids, parents, and coaches are supportive of the the players and make it a no pressure intro to golf.
Fun environment for kids to learn golf and get used to competition.
I liked the weekly practices and the kids having a chance to compete against other teams.

Like the two-person scramble match format. Like the timing on Saturday afternoons. Like the fact kids learning competition in a fun way.
I like the social and team aspect for a sport that is very individual based.
Great exposure to golf for the kiddos
Our son had a lot of fun. He met some nice teammates. I like how they all encourage one another.
Good program for competition
I liked how organized it was and the days and times for practice and the matches.
I didnt like that my kids didn't play other clubs in Cleveland when the rest of the clubs played each other
Fun and organized event that my son loved. He learned the basics of golf for his age.
Incredibly well organized. Lots of fun. Great experience for my son who was in his first year. Communication was fantastic!
Scott is an amazing coach. I highly recommend his program. I would like to see there be two holes between starting teams to allow for slower teams. My child learned a lot and loved the program.
