The true friendships that develop within the group.
Meeting new friends, playing scramble style on different courses, jerseys/hats.
Great coaches and a fun positive vibe!
I love this league. They make it fun and still competitive, but NOT over the top. Everyone supports each other and very complimentary of all good shots, no matter what team. The courses that my son was able to play were prestigious! We would have come back this year, but my son made the high school golf team as a freshman. We've appreciated our coaches. Our home base South Hampton club was way more organized in their matches than most other clubs. I would say that when we visited other courses for matches, it was very frustrating when they would have tee times that would often delay us or hold us up. I know they are trying to make money, but some of this was just outrageous and quite frankly disrespectful to our time. Other than that, it's been a great experience.
Everything!! Great program! Wonderful coaches!!
The coaching, practice and organization of the meets all were done very well. My son looks forward to participating again !
My child loves it! He gets very skilled training from his coaches.
Format works for kids who aren’t as serious or competitive.
I do want to leave feedback regarding the recent All Stars tournament at Heritage Isles in Tampa. My 13 year old son played in the 13u division. They had the course setup far too long for these kids. On hole 18 the tee shot was a forced carry over water from about 10 yards in front of the very tips of the farthest back tee-box. I have played that course dozens of times from the Blue boxes which are about 6500 yards, and I have NEVER seen the blues that far back, it made for a nearly 200 yard carry with no layup options, it was 100% over water. The course was setup for over 3000 yards for 9 holes which was far too long for most of the kids playing.
Fun way for the kids to learn and understand how to get around the golf course.
Team Golf, best entry level option for new golfers who want to become competitive. All Starts gives great opportunity for more experienced golfers.
Team format to lessen pressure on individual performance
We have been very fortunate to have one of the best coaches around who understands how to interact with kids while also teaching them the fundamentals of golf. Coach Rob Peters has been absolutely brilliant around my child as well as watching him around other. I love the competitiveness as well as playing the baseball ball. My only suggestion is when the kids are younger to maybe allow a parent to walk with that child. It would speed it up. I believe some kids under the age of nine really should have a parent helping them.
Staff is amazing
The kids get to play on golf courses.
Practicing and lessons are important but to actually be on the course and applying what a child has learned is equally if not more important.
Thank you
The Jr PGA teaches the kids golf, golf etiquette and being part of a team. This is a good building block for the future.
The opportunity to learn such a great sport at such a young age with guidance from supportive coaches.
Teaching the young kids the game of golf, its rules, and good sportsmanship
Less stress for kids than playing own ball at that level.
PGA Jr has been a great experience so far. We like the camaraderie of the teams.
Coach was awesome! Very patient & excited to have the boys out playing. Very tolerant of weird schedules. Very flexible. First name removed really enjoyed it. We will be back!
