Great start to golf but not too strict or "uptight" they are developing AND having a lot of fun
My son had a great experience in PGA Jr this past summer. The weather caused quite a few matches to be rescheduled, but the coaches made every effort to make sure all the matches were played.
Great job by the Pros at Marsh Creek
Quality and price
Excellent program for introducing golf to young people. Teaching them the basics. Learning with other children in their age range, making new friends.
We love the program!
Golf is about alot more than just hitting a little white ball. My son is Autistic and has been playing with the PGA Jr league for 2 years. He has grown mentally, both with the game and in life. He loves playing golf and has developed new friendships as a result. We are very blessed to be a part of the PGA Jr family.
Great format. PGA Staff did an amazing job organizing the leagues and things continue to get better each year.
Team aspect, match play, advanced and beginner players together
Our coaches, the environment that fosters learning the game, teamwork and comradery with the opposing team. Youth sports is going crazy in a negative way on lack of sportsmanship as parents and coaches have invested lots of money or their 6 figure salaries are on the line and it’s trickling down to behavior of the youth as they mimic what they see. Have not felt any of that in PGA Jr. League and it’s refreshing.
I can not speak highly enough about coach Greg Coffin! One of the most well run programs being well organized, excellent communication, and great with the Jr. golfers.
I like that it promotes teamwork in a sport that is usually played as an individual. I like that it involves parents in a positive manner. I like that it is inclusive. Everyone can play regardless of ability. There is so much to like about it. It's a great game.
The coach and bringing the team aspect to golf
Great format for kids to learn and be on a team. Coaches are amazing. Love how you keep parents from meddling. I wish other sports would do that.
I like Everything about what the pga jr league stands for and how it helps youth athletes discover a new sport while learning etiquette.
I like the PGA Jr. league for the opportunity it provides to kids of all levels because of the best ball format. Many times kids get discouraged when they aren't playing well, but when they have a partner to help, it makes it more fun and enjoyable to be out there. Plus getting to travel to other courses and see different places is very special for the kids but also the families. I would recommend getting your child/children involved today to experience this incredible social/golf/life skills building league!
They truly care about the kids!
The 2 person scramble is a fun format for the kids and allows them to not worry about having a bad shot since their partner can pick them up.
Great format for kids
Lots of Fun Golf with Friends
Love the match play scramble format for new tournament players as there is reduced pressure on any one shot by the kids.
Everything, my Grandson loves it & the instructions are great & the comradeship of playing on a team.
I like the fact that my beginner child can feel comfortable while learning to play the game and learning the rules.
Fun, great people/coaches
The organization
It’s good for the little kids teach him how to start the game of golf determine the grip padding chipping kitchen the most important thing the basics at the game.
Great coaches and great other parents. Always having fun and learning more about this great game.
It’s a great way for young golfers to be part of a team.
The junior events and discounts

Awesome way to introduce kids to "competitive golf" in a relatively stress free environment. I played competitive golf as a junior decades ago and was "thrown in" as a teen. I feel like the junior league experience will create relative comfort for future events. In addition, all of the coaches at TPC Sawgrass are amazing. My son is learning so many great skills and swing tips. He has become a very competent putter at only 7 years old. I have always wished my kids would love and appreciate golf as much as I do and I feel like Junior League is putting him on that path without "forcing it".
Thanks to all!
