My children First name removed (15 yrs old) & Siene (13yrs. old) have participated in the PGA Jr. League for several years and started at a young age. They now have developed a passion for golf. During COVID, NYC was completely shut down for all youth sports and we had to travel to New Jersey to re-engage in golf while NYC remained shut down (schools, sports, etc.) Our family was fortunate to find the PGA Jr. League @ Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood NJ. Captain Rylee Plitz is the Head Golf Professional at the course and does amazing things for our junior golfers. Her program is well organized and geared toward both young men and young women that want to develop their golf skills. Under her guidance and leadership, the junior league has exploded and is considered one of the priemier PGA Jr. Leagues to play in. The communication is excellent between Captain, Parents and Players and there is a lot of fun incoporated into the discipline of golf. This year Rylee orgainized the first PGA Jr. Family Cup and we were fortunate to be the inaugural cup winners!! As parents and spectators we have a great appreciation for what PGA Jr. League offers. There is a sense of team amongst the children and we are sincerely grateful for this structure.

I loved the format in that it encourages young kids to play in a competitive environment even if they're beginners. The scramble format allows beginners to play with better players to learn the game in a non-threatening environment.

A great intro to competitive golf for the kids
We are very fortunate to have Jeremy as lead coach for our fiddlers elbow league team. He is very organized and great with kids. My kids (boy11 and girl13) had so much fun this summer with PGA Jr League and asked me to clear all other event calendar to be able to participate in the practices and rounds.
