Team building among the kids. Sportsmanship.
I loved that it made kids excited about golf. Since parents aren't supposed to be involved (which makes sense) I'd like to see a person assigned (parent or gold staff) to each group to monitor etiquette, pace of play, etc., and help coach kids on these matters.
Good people and safe facility for the kids. The golf pros care about the kids and are helpful. Wish they had more hands on instruction is my only con.
It gave my son an opportunity to exit a new sport and go places he might not have ever gone.
Great program to get kids into competitive golf and to take the game more seriously
Opportunity for younger less experienced kids to play
It was a great experience for my 12 year old son. Definitely will sign up next summer. Wished there was a fall program as well!
Getting the young kids interested in a life long love of the game!
Gives kids a chance to learn the game in a fairly pressure-free environment. Exposes them to a lot of different types of kids.
It provides Jr. players to gain experiences on the green to improve their skills and also to learn to play games well.
It was really amazing to see the progress and that the kids got to play at different courses.
For a first timer my son felt very comfortable and had fun learning the sport.
Just the right amount of golf matches for summer. Coaches were great, good communication, good locations for matches. My son had a great experience! It kept his golf game up over the summer and he met some nice kids too.
I like that the kids have an opportunity to play a lot of different golf courses and compete against their counterparts. Also, the one-on-one instruction from the pro is really great.
The organization
My son loved getting out and golfing with his friends throughout the summer. He learned a lot, improved his game and had a great time.
Affordable opportunity for my son to play courses he may never get to play with positive, professional instruction.
Coaches and very friendly. All the kids had a great time and learned some great skills.
Learning how to play together and help one another, golf etiquette and sportsmanship.
It gets the kids involved and most importantly, engaged.
The fact that the kids play best ball in the matches. It makes the game far more paletteable for kids who are just starting to learn the game.
I love how the kids work together in teams, it's an awesome way for them to learn the game together.
I love everything about it. I love the matches and playing different teams each week. My boys always have a blast
Fun but competitive format that gets the kids loving the game. Very well organized.
It gives younger kids the opportunity to compete and play golf with other interested kids
It’s so great to get kids playing competitive golf. Coaches are wonderful at Nehoiden Golf Club.
The PGA Jr League program at Winchester Country Club was an awesome experience.
The enthusiasm and love for the game was generated through the great coaching of head pro Jim Salinetti and his team.
My daughter learned to drive the ball farther, chip, put, and demonstrated etiquette associated with the game.
It was a wonderful start to the season and a nice group of future golfers.
Looking forward to next year!
I’m the dad. My son, who has been “around “ golf his whole life (14years). He’s been out for 9 a dozen or so times. Taken some “lessons”. He decided in spring that he wanted to play in high school. His experience with his captain, James Cook has put him in a position to compete for one of the 2 spots available on Varsity team. I only wish I knew about this 5 years ago. There would be no competition.
Thank you James and the PGA.
Great way for kids to experience competition and to learn the rules of golf.

The Junior PGA sets a great foundation for the kids to learn and love the game of golf.
