Consumer Testimonials
I like the concept and format; it really encourages young golfers to get out there and play. It especially encourages the newer golfers that lack the confidence to go and compete in single stroke play. Thank you for providing this opportunity to develop emerging young golfers!
The caring and true interest from the instructors is outstanding. They are patient and really want the kids to not only get better at golf but also help them come out of their shells and become more confident!
Lessons, tournaments
Fun, exciting format.
It’s a great introduction for young children, however, for 11U, I would recommend 3 hole matches.
It’s a great way to introduce kids to golf
I loved the structure of the matches. promoted good sportsmanship and team work.
The team feeling, uniforms and experience.
Really enjoyed my 13 year old son getting to play with kid his own age. The coaches were great. Wish there was something at the end of the season like a banquet that the kids could get recognized for their achievements. Maybe different awards for longest driver, best putter, best short game, ect... The season ended and everyone just left on the last day. Seemed a little unorganized.
We love that everyone is so encouraging! The coaches are very good with creating a unified team atmosphere. They are also excellent at encouraging improvement (just try to do better than last time) while praising good shots and pointing out the positives in missed shots
the camaraderie with all the kids.
Everything! Great coach!
The growth of the game in the youth. It gets young people involved in competition in the game that might not otherwise.
The kids, of all ages, working together on the course and learning how to play holes, strategy, rules, without a stressful environment.
team play
Relationships my daughter was and to build
This is our 9 year old’s 4th year of golf and she absolutely loved that her coach joined the Jr PGA League this year. We loved doing a little bit of traveling and meeting players from all over our area. She loved the organization of the league and she also loved being OFFICIAL with the sport. She takes it very seriously. We can’t wait to see what Jr PGA and golf, in general, has in store for her as she gets older.
brings kids together as a team sport, not competing against each other.
Liked the focus on exposure to golf rules and etiquette, for all age groups. Focused on team work with discussion of next shot to select, during Best ball format .
Wonderful events.
It is awesome!!
It's a great way for the game of golf to keep growing. Finding the young kids that want to play and keeping them involved will help the game of golf in the long run. The competition level of the league is good as it involves beginnings up to decently talented youngsters.
We loved our coach, Marcus Erkel! He gave First name removed a positive experience with golf this summer in the midst of some extra challenging health issues. We are so glad we joined PGA Jr. League!
The Jr PGAhasbeen a great organized competition experience for my young golfer. This is great opportunity that gives my son experience in competition that he would not get otherwise.
Competition in a non-threatening environment - a great way to start
It was my girls first year and they had a great experience!
Enjoyed the fun but competive experience for my new to golf daughter. She got out of her comfort zone playing other courses she wouldn't normally play.
Loved the instruction my child received, and the opportunity to play some beautiful courses.
Being about to play golf and compete.
Great program for juniors. It teaches them the game, etiquette and how to compete. I highly recommend for any young golfer.
