My child has loved being a part of the PGA Jr. League and it has made her really enjoy golf.
Opportunity for kids at all levels to have fun playing and competing in golf!!
I really liked the team format for the games. It was a good way for my child to enjoy golf but also feel part of the group. We also had an outstanding coach named Ryan Matalon. This guy went way above and beyond for our kids.
We love the enriching way PGA Jr. to build character, skill, snd community through the love of golf. After almost 5 years with PGA Jr., we’ve seen our son and our daughter grow as terrific golf players as well as proud and empowered youth.
I love the focus on sportsmanship! Technique and skill progression are supported, but it has been about supporting each other and playing good, clean matches!! Love it!
The instructors kept it fun for my son and he learned a lot along the way. Highly recommend this program.
Great opportunity for the kids to play.
Great instruction and team atmosphere
Awesome environment, enjoyable sport and fun to watch the kids work together in a non competitive environment.
The mentorship and how the coaches relate to players. Also, encouragement of independent decision making and cooperation between teammates to reach a consensus
It’s a great way to ease kids into playing on the course, especially for beginners.
Our kids got to experience the golf course for the first time and loved it!
The kids really learn how to play and the rules of the game. And they have fun
I like that my child is able to learn the game woth a PGA Professional and play on courses with other children his age. I like the team work that is fostered as well.
I love this program. The coaches are great and I like that kids get course experience!
I love how encouraging and fun the 2 coaches have been with my son’s team at Worthington Manor in Frederick, MD! They emphasize the importance of fundamentals in golf, encourage teamwork and communication during match play, and guide the kids to think about strategy, club selection, etiquette. The fall league has been a positive, constructive, and fun experience for my teenager. My husband and I enjoy the Sunday afternoons spent at golf matches, and our younger son is considering taking summer PGA Jr. League camps after seeing his big brother play in the fall league.
Outstanding program for kids. My grandson learnt a lot, progressed in his golf skills, and had lots of fun doing it. The instructors were terrific, thank you. Clearly something we’ll keep doing every year!
We absolutely love how this league provides an opportunity for Junior golfers at every level of their game to play in a competitive environment.
We've been involved with a few other leagues, and the one Evergreen Country Club hosts is by far one of the best experiences my son has had.
The coaches are present at all times ensuring there's a safe, fun and learning environment for all players.
Thank you, and we look forward to next years season.
Leighann Albaugh - Director of Instruction at The Magnolia Green Golf Academy runs a tremendous program. We are very happy with the instruction and organization of this league.
I like the fact that the children are able to play and put what they have learned through driving range and/or putting practice to use. I also like that there are chances, such as travel teams, to play in matches. This is great experience. Lastly I truly appreciate the comradery that the children have with eachother.
Great coach who engages the children while helping them learn the game
This is a great format for kids to grow and learn golf
I like that it is a small time commitment, that the area to play is smaller for learning kids and that the coaches are supportive.
I love competing with people that are from different schools and love the coaches and everything about it. I love golf!!
Positive learning atmosphere. Augustine golf club (Stafford,Va) is very accommodating to the kids. Love that the PGA provides high quality shirts, hats and fleeces. Been involved with all types of youth sports and PGA Jr. provides the best environment top to bottom.
If gives a chance to golfers of all levels to compete in a team event.
The great coaching staff at Colonial Hills, Forest, VA. Opportunity for kids to play at an early age.
The opportunity presented to kids is great
Because last Sunday game was the first game for my son and me, it took little time to get used with the rule. But I think PGA Jr. League makes my son enjoy the golf game with conversation with his teammates but with slight pressure.
I will let my son discuss with his teammates to decide the club and putting lie, etc. by himself. And I believe this would help improving my son’s golf skill ultimately.
