The best ball format is great for learning the game!
It’s a great format and fun for the kids to get the experience of being part of a team.
It is a fun yet focused way to have the young golfers pair up and challenge another team but it is focused on the positive.
Great introduction to golf and Jeff Chiodo was great with the kids.
Great way to keep kids excited about golf
The format is great for kids that are young and can't hit the ball as far when they get to be paired up with an older teammate. Overall, the format is best to provide competitive golf but not allowing kids to get depressed due to the flags and how you win points.
It's just fun to play preferred ball.
The camaraderie among genders, ages and playing ability!
Excellent experience for our 9 year old.
Our kids like the match play format, and it's one of the few opportunities for them to be on the same golf team.
Kids of all levels working together to help each other learn and have fun!
The coaches worked well with the kids. The matches were fun for the kids.
Team atmosphere. Favorable playability for the age group. Individual instruction at practice. Competitive, but not cut throat.
A great formats to fall in love with Golf!
Golfers being part of a team, making new friends, competing at regionals against other states
Love the exposure kids get to the course. Learning the rules and etiquette to the game. How to compose themselves and meet new people!
Well organized. Fun. Not overly time consuming (i.e. burning a kid out on the sport). Great coach support locally.
We loved how fun the Pros made it for our son and how they taught him!
Introducing competitive golf through team play fostered a sense of belonging with our sons, and it made competition seem less intimidating at the outset. Their confidence, skill set, and passion for the game has grown as a direct result of teamwork. They have both loved it!
Teamwork! Love the support for each other, working together to determine best shot. Parent support from the opposing teams was an unexpected plus.
My son Love to play the PGA Jr. and he highly recommended it.
Teaching competition and ettiquite
It gets the kids out in a competitive environment but isn’t super stressful because it’s a best ball format. The only improvement I could see is to try and have more practices per week, I don’t think 1 practice is really enough for them to learn anything or enough time for them to work on their game.
Great experience for my daughter. PGA Jr League format combined with Davenport Country Club Staff made for a great experience.
We like the team atmosphere. The best-shot format helps to keep the kids engaged if they are not playing well.
Great way for kids to learn the game of golf
THe camaraderie

This has been one of the best sports teams and leagues that my kids have ever been part of. We love everything--from the coaches to the instruction and of course the opportunities to play.
