Great learning experience for all ages
Welcoming, friendly and supportive environment. Good coaches, play time.
Good format, I loved being able to pick practice times since each summer week looked a little different for us.
Loved the opportunity to enjoy the game in a safe, fun environment. The organization of the coaches and opportunities to play such wonderful courses! Thank you!
The team effort
Helping young players get used to the game. Having matches not just practice
Low pressure, fun, great golf instruction (swing or on course).
Andrew Weisheit was excellent with our boys. The Otter Creek Jr. League program is run top notch!
The coaching and positive environment.
The opportunity for the kids to learn sportsmanship and golf at the same time. I think the game is great for social skills in learning to play as team. To conclude PGA Jr. is a great way for kids to spend "safe time" off the streets, away from devices, and away from negative influences. This is our third or fourth year and we love it! Highly recommend?
Round was very slow. 4.5 hours for 9 holes seems excessive, understand level of play. We were on the younger side with a 10 year old, but some oncourse guidance would be helpful on maybe a club selection or shot thought. Totally get the line needs to be drawn and getting parents involved is less than ideal for coaching.
Fun, kids have opportunities to play at some very nice courses. Ally is great with the kids. She gets on their level and helps them gain confidence.
It was such a great program! My son learned so much. The experience was wonderful, and it built his confidence on the golf course.
It’s great that the kids are out on the course playing every week, but I feel there was very little coaching or instruction from the coaches.
giving kids a competitive chance at an early age
The practice times and the matches were enjoyable for all.
Great experience for kids and good format for kids starting in competitive golf.
Well organized. Makes golf fun.
Great staff, beautiful course!
Kids partnering up with other kids helping each other learn the game and enjoying it.
The hands on coaching and attention our children received
We as a family like the 2 man scramble format. Our boys are adopted from the foster care system, both with FASD and both with challenges, yet the kids and staff were friendly and the environment was competitive yet welcoming.
We wish that the Director of our section was around more and more responsive and we wish there was more coaching taking place, but the experience was excellent for our two boys and their peers. Staffing & budget are real challenges, hopefully there is an opportunity for real feedback & input on how we can improve these items. At the state All-Stars the teams in Indy are way ahead skill wise and it can be defeating to get beat so badly ... how does the PGA help there to be a more level playing field with quality instruction? Likely we just need an actual coach that is there and teaching.
I like the team match play format and the added pressure that a match brings. My son has absolutely loved it this year.
Our fearless leader, Bradley, was so good with the kids -- patient, sense of humor, attentive, the perfect balance of instruction and fun. My daughter LOVED it!
It gave my son the opportunity to learn about golf and our coach Barry Bonifield was so good about teaching the kids to encourage one another and work together as a team. That taught me son that even though golf is an independent sport, you can encourage and play with others.
Great instruction. Fun competition. Camaraderie of learning together
My son got practical hands-on experience and was able to play with kids of all different experience levels
Jan, the instructor was top notch. Very enjoyable to see young kids improve and enjoy the results.
