It’s a great way to get kids into the golf course without feeling intimidated since they’re able to play against their peers. It also teaches teamwork and sportsmanship and prepares them for a lifelong love of the game.
FUN for the kids!
The combination of a fun practice session and then 9 holes of golf on a different day each week is fantastic for the kids!
Our coach made it the best experience! Joel Wallin is an amazing coach and because of him my son enjoys golf. Joel is helping create the next generation of golfers one at a time. You can tell both the kids and Joel enjoy this experience!
It is a great environment for introducing young golfers to the fundamentals and competitive aspects of golf. The spirit of "friendly competition" was greatly appreciated by me and I am particularly grateful that the league was conducted in spite of the pandemic and gave our children a sorely needed outlet. Thank you!!!!!
Our son was brand new to Golf when we began the league. He had a great time and made strides in his game through the season. We liked the Pros and found most so helpful. Nick and a girl who has a scholarship at Valparaiso U (forgot her name) were especially helpful during matches and excellent with the kids. I would highly recommend to anyone beginning Golf!
It was nice to get younger golfers together and making new golf friends.
It was a great experience for my son. I thought it was terrific.
Makes golf for kids fun, and not technical. “Swing your swing” - Arnold Palmer
everything!
This is a great opportunity for young kids. It was a friendly environment and wonderful learning experience.
Experience on the golf course
The competition and the ability for the kids to have fun, learning to play the game. What a great way to grow the sport. Letting kids ON the golf course is a great way to help. Giving them the opportunity to play in scrambles and talk to each other is incredible. I do think the price is pretty high. I would love to see kids have more opportunities to participate but the biggest draw back to golf is price for many youth. It is not a coincidence that state high school golf tournaments are constantly full of high income schools. Would love to see more opportunities for more kids. But the program was a blast.
We like the team experience and how the kids get to play together and learn the game together through both collaboration and competition.
Our coach is AMAZING as well! Just the right amount of encouragement and push to propel the kids to improve and love the game.
Our son enjoys playing golf and has the head knowledge to move forward with the game.
Thank you PGA Jr. golf!
Great venue for kids to learn the game of golf; and more importantly golf etiquette. It also gives them an arena that is competitive, and yet, but partnering with different kids every week there is no individual pressure.
My son loved playing golf for the first time this summer. The instructors at Foxford were wonderful!!! We look forward to many more great years!
Great program to kids involved in the game of golf.
The affordability of the kids to be able to use the deiving range and being able to play 9 holes on different golf courses.
The quality of coaching in teaching my son the basics of the game
I think it is a great organization to introduce youngsters to the game of golf and to teach and promote their skills in the game.
Coach Craig made this an awesome experience for my son. My son had never played before and because of his coaching will be playing going forward. Could not be happier with the experience all around
Coach Rob is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with the kids. This was an amazing experience for the kids, aside from the crummy weather. We are looking forward to next year. Thank you!
It's a great way for all levels of golfers to compete and participate in a team setting. The change to 17U is a great addition and will help to grow the game.
Kids to get play on real courses with real challenges
Coach Llyod. Child was able to learn new skills from teammates also.
This was a very positive atmosphere for our boys to work on their golf game. They learned a lot more than golf skills. Teamwork, responsibility, respect, and more!
My son is proud to be in the PGA Jr. League, and I think it gives him the opportunity to play against kids who are at his level or better than him. The league challenges him as a player and a young man.
