Well run program.
Great setup to make golf fun & less frustrating for kids
My daughter loves this time of the year. She is showing game improvement as well as having fun!
Everything it represents from kindness; confidence; teamwork; culture; respect; community, leadership; mannersand So on —
Gets my son out on the course 2 times per week in a good environment with other kids
Kids having fun
My kids loved the team aspect of playing with their peers.
Coaches, location, price
Incredible opportunity for my son to learn the game, learn how to play in front of a crowd/group, and, more important, it provided him an opportunity to meet other kids and learn the subtle etiquette of the game (marking your ball, honors, ready golf, etc.). Such a great way to bond with my son and see how much he enjoys the game of golf.
The coaches are amazing working with the kids. Specifically coaches Brian and Alana at Prestonwood Country Club (Cary, NC).
the program is great for my young son, but of course your program would be nothing without great leadership, our Daniel Byrd is our Coach and makes it very fun and challenging for the kids
Great camaraderie. Welcoming to a wide age group and many levels. Encourages great sportsmanship. Important that parents participate.
However, the Kiawah team continually cheats. Parents encourage it, and also coerced younger kids from opposing teams (ages 6 and 7) to change their scores after misrepresenting how the hole was played . They complained that opposing parents “were really strict about the score”, which is entirely the point of golf. They did this on the River Course as well as on our home course. Several different sets of parents. It’s insane and also embarrassing to those not breaking the rules on their team. We also happen to be members of that club, and if we need to join their team next year to ensure fair play, we can certainly make that happen.
I love that PGA Jr. League allows an opportunity for the children to get outside, make new friendships all while learning more about golf. Daniel Last name removed has an amazing PGA Jr. League and youth golf program in North Carolina!!
The team atmosphere and opportunity for Jrs to play competitively.
That is is close to where we live and consistent opportunities
How much my daughter developed during the program!
Organized but no stress. Nothing was taken too serious. Love the team aspect as partners could work together (vs having one person struggle over and over). Team-building concepts were taking place while also learning how to play golf in a competitive format which is awesome. Doing it again next year!
My son really enjoys being involved in golf, but not just showing up....having PGA sponsored swag and organized training and opportunities to say he's part of something bigger is great for him.
Coach Anthony makes me comfortable with my son’s growth in the sport.
Phenomenal program being run out of Tega Cay!
Love that we can play with other groups and meet new people
Love to see Kids doing things they enjoy, and have a success story behind it.
The program give the opportunity for the kids to learn more about golfing and techniques. It’s is great for the kids to have an affordable coaching experience. They are able to fine tune their game at different levels, improve throughout the season and experience the game at the course by playing with their friends, where they enjoy the time together.
The involvement of Jr. PGA for my children has been amazing. It creates a level of focus and discipline along with comradery!! Highest Regards to the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity-Jr PGA golf program, exceptional on all levels. Thanks, Dr. Dickerson.
The association to a bigger opportunity.
Great experience
The format and environment are fun and encouraging - much less pressure than regular tournament golf.
Jr. PGA is a wonderful program. It teaches children the game of golf as well as life lessons in sportsmanship, respect, and fairness. Our son has enjoyed meeting new friends and learning from amazing coaches, as well as developed a love for the game of golf! We feel this program has opened up a potential for future opportunities for him as well as a lifetime appreciation and enjoyment of the sport.
The schedule and competition

It was a great way for my kids to get out on the golf course. It taught them about teamwork, learning how to hit all shots and how to keep score. All the while, they got to do it with friends to ensure the fun aspect was an integral part of the program.
