The team aspect. I wish there were different levels of PGA junior league. For example top 8 or 10 are your “A”team as they compete against the other A team. Then you have a “B” team that competes against another B team. B team is comprised of less skilled players working their way to the A team. That way your highly skilled kids aren’t paired with a kid that will never get there shot used.
Great experience for the golfers to play at other clubs. Nice mix of talent and very nice, helpful coaches! The shirts and hats were super cool this year. It would be fun to do an end of season wrap up/celebration to reward all the hard work for all involved!
It’s awesome to see all the little kids progress throughout the matches or the season. It’s really good for teaching patients.
The team aspect and the beginner approach to competing.
It’s a great way for youngsters to learn about the game while playing it. Also teaches thenm how to be a team and good sportsmanship plus make new friends.
New friends who share the same passion! The team spirit is helping a lot to ease the pressure on the course. My junior golfer plays much better when he walks with his peers, talking through the shots. We often see him carrying the team, which shows he can be a great player when he has someone to share the game with—rather than playing against others, as he does in tournaments.
Practice, practice, practice!
It’s a great way for our son to get some practice on the course and learn fundamentals of the game.
Great learning for players , coaches took the time and Great encouragement
Great preliminary experience for new golfer. Built excitement and deeper love for game. It was fun and kiddo enjoyed it.
My son loved that it was a scramble, which lessens the pressure on him as a beginning golfer to perform on every swing and every hole.
It was a great experience to meet others and play on other courses
Well organized. Lots of help from coaches and other parents. My child loved it!
We’ve loved the coaches and the outstanding team culture they’ve created for our son. They truly make the most of their time with the kids, creating a fun, encouraging environment. Our son is 10 and has been part of the program since he was 7, and it’s been such a positive experience. We look forward to many more years with Junior PGA!
Opportunity to compete. And being coached up by the staff.
Downside: some facilities are cheating the kids out of the 9 holes they are promised for the competitions. Some playing 6 holes only. Seems like a gyp to the kids and really disappointing.
A disappointing and misleading representation of PGA Jr
Great program. First name removed had a lot of fun with his coaches and team mates! Thank you!
My daughter enjoy getting to know new kids that have the same hobby as her. The coaches are great and always will to help and answer questions.
Coach Jeff Beale is amazing. Even when other teams were unavailable, he was able to find a way to get the kids to play. He coaches and inspires them to be better players
Great program that allows kids to learn the game in a positive and fun environment.
It was such a great program for our son. His game improved during the program. It was great for him to play with the other kids and work on teamwork and team unity. Jerad, the golf pro, was fantastic and did such a great job with the kids.

The Coaches! The engagement with other parents, and most importantly, my son is learning the game and loving it!
PgA Jr League allows my child to meet other kids, have fun, and play more as a team. With all of the pressures playing individually, this gives players a chance to help one another. I wish the distance (70 miles) was reduced so that certain teams can’t stack players from all over the state for their all star team. This puts certain teams at an unfair advantage when it comes to all-stars. 20-30 miles should be the max.
The team aspect
I like the exposure of golf to a young crowd, the coaches are fun and the kids learn a ton about the sport and themselves.
The instructions that Ms Denise offers is always fun. I like the one day of practice and play on weekends.
My daughter enjoyed playing the different courses and meeting new players. The shirts were amazing too. She gained a lot of valuable skills.
My son learned the basics and enjoyed playing.
Good format, I loved being able to pick practice times since each summer week looked a little different for us.

Renzi and Liam were awesome
