Consumer Testimonials
The coaches and players were great!
Exposure to the sport with competition but still a relaxed atmosphere. My daughter had not played golf prior to the league, didn't win any of her matches, and still had a great time.
The PGA Jr. League has been amazing for our daughter. Not only is she learning how to become a better golfer but she’s learning how to manage the mental part of it. She was able to play with kids her age who also enjoy the game of golf and that was pretty cool. The coaches were amazing and a wonderful influence for her. We can’t wait for the season to start back up next year!
Increased love of the game for my son and consistent attention from a coach was just incredible
The junior league allows kids to compete at a young age. My child was able to determine her strengths and weaknesses while competing against others her same age. She will now work in the fall and winter on improving her game for next season.
Excellent opportunity for young players to compete.
Very well organized! Lots of communication, great uniforms, pairings were great!
My kids really enjoyed being able to regularly play golf with other kids their own age. They also enjoyed the fun environment and the help they received from all of the volunteers. The OGA golf club really went out of their way to host a fun time for area youth.
Love the format.
Loves the tournament and lessons given by the older pros Gary Koch and one other...
Loved the backpacks and shirt designs too.
Loved that the play allowed for comraderie as well.
I think it's a great way for kids to make friends. With the scramble format, it gives the game a more of a social feel while still applying the fundamentals of individual golf. I think it is a great introduction for kids who want to play on the course, but don't have a lot of experience.
The camaraderie of the kids--this breeds amazing sportsmanship and teamwork.
We love the friendships that are created and How to work as a team! Playing in this league has built his confidence as a player!
Great format and coaches!
Our son loved his experience. The matches were well structured and pace of play was appropriate for their age and ability level. It was my sons first year, and we’ll be back!
PGA Jr. League gives kids the practice and opportunities to be successful with golf.
Staff at TPC Sawgrass are beyond amazing. They are so encouraging and kind. I only wish my kids could play 2-4 days a week.
Format and team concept. Great for youth to grow the game vs only the best succeed
Great opportunity for young kids and teenagers to learn golf in a supportive and fun way! The instructors were responsive and patient.
This was the first year of competitive golf for my two sons. It was a fantastic way for them to gain access to great courses and to learn the rules, etiquette and how to play golf. I would recommend for any student who is beyond beginning level and is at an intermediate level to play. It was also a great time for the parents to walk with the players and just be with other like-minded parents. Mark Thornewell at Haworth CC did a great job.
Good instruction some cometition
Structured instruction
My son loved it. It was very organized and communication was clear. Looking forward to joining again next season.
The coaches were fantastic! Tim was fun and my son learned a lot and was sad when it was over.
Excellent coaching, great for young golfers learning the game.
Kids enjoying a life-long sport, interacting with humans in real-time (vs. cell phones) is invaluable.
PGA Jr. League is a wonderful introduction to the world of golf for juniors. Specifically, our team - Michelle Holmes School of Golf in Virginia Beach, boasts a dynamic program that promotes skill, comradery and best of all; lessons that will serve these young people well beyond the course. Our family is blessed to be a part!

GO EAGLES!
Having our kids played travel basketball and football, this was a welcomed change of pace. The environment was repeat flu and encouraging. We saw quite a bit of growth in year one and sure our son has found a challenging sport to play for the rest of his life.
The acces to golf and instruction
The inclusivity, the focus on competition, the scramble format that takes some pressure off the competition.
