Coach Testimonials
The best part of PGA Jr league is the schedule is up to the individual coach. Which makes it nice for the coach but also the golfers
Team atmosphere. Family fun. Thought process from the kids and the ability to work as a team.
Kids having fun
Scramble format. Team environment.
I like being able to get many ages involved. Format makes it easy for beginners
The kids enjoy the team aspect. The two person scramble makes it easy for all levels. The all star season helps keep better players involved.
Everything. The engagement with the young golfers and the improvement is fantastic !
Mentorship, Money, Teaching
Nice way to get started in the game.
Team golf and less pressure for the kids.
Tremendous format for beginning and intermediate youth golfers to improve and compete.
It has been the best thing to do to increase junior golf participation for both girls and boys at Noble Hawk. We have gotten about 3-4 family memberships because of the PGA Jr League. The Team Scramble Format helps in giving the kids confidence to play. Also, i have never heard a parent complain about the PGA Jr League.
So much fun
I was skeptical about the scramble format, but the kids love it. I like that I can mix up my better players with total beginners and they can still have fun together. I love how it is an introduction to golf for some kids, and a continuation of golf for those that have played. It's something for everyone!
Family involvement!
Very inclusive and fun for any skill level
The format is great for kids of all levels.
It is a great program for everyone that gets involved especially the players. Parents and Players get to play and see other golf courses. the PGA jr league helps the whole facility. I have done it now for 10 years at three different golf courses and it has grown every single year.
It is such a great alternative to the stale summer "Junior Golf Camp" where we just march a big group up to the range, spread them out in a long line and hit balls 3 x week then call it a camp
They are actually playing the game of golf!
This is greatest junior golf program, as it involves the kids in a non-threatening way to competition. Every year it is so much fun.
It is a great expieiance for both beginners and developing players !!
Very rewarding to see the progress throughout the season. Great way to grow the game
Great chance to grow golfers and parents, and it has made me better too!
PGA Jr. League creates a healthy and fun golf environment for juniors of all skill levels. The team and scramble format is good onboard way to play without the individual pressures of playing solo competitive golf. The family then gets excited to play as a household. Play for life and have fun!
I love the team concept and the way the format encourages beginners. It also allows us to recruit kids and families in a way they are used to in youth sports--'think Little League meets Golf'
It is a great experience for kids to get onto the golf course. Additionally it is nice to see everyone cheering everyone on.
Golf is a lifetime sport and we want kids to enjoy the game. This is a great introduction for kids to start to fall in love with the game
As a PGA Coach and ADM Certified teacher-coach, this program is a MUST for all facilities. Too many juniors are sometimes intimidated to play golf by themself. So I think that PGA Jr. League fills the player gap from interested to play golf recreationally. Then they have the golf skill for life. Not to mention the friendships and relationships with other juniors that make it a community for that junior. Family members do not be come drop off parents. They become spectators or volunteer scorers...etc. Great job PGA of America!
I love the team aspect of it all. The kids really love being part of a team.
The format is very beginner friendly to the kids and this league tends to get families involved in the game. I have had some family memberships result from their children playing on PGA Jr. League teams.
