In this day and time a place where Christianity thrives is precious.
To know that our son, who is mentally and physically challenged, is in an environment that is safe is beyond measure.
The Y is an important aspect of his life. There he can mingle, meet and enjoy the company of other like minded people. And he can also offer his cheer, encouragement and commitment to Christ with others.
A special place to work out, participate in Bible study and share life.
Classes
I enjoy the exercise classes;
Chair Yoga,
Chair Exercise,
Cardio Dance.
Exercise classes are really great.
I go Monday thru Friday and really enjoy the instructors.
I LOVE the early morning staff. They are always on time to open the gym, friendly and they make showing up at the gym at 5 AM a great experience. I suggest a wireless router extension for the treadmill area, sometimes the wifi is very spotty.
Activities for the seniors.
Everything
Group exercises classes.
friendly people like the activities wish they had Zumba classes
Good senior classes. Would like to see more different classes such as line dancing, Tai chi & weightlifting for seniors. As you age, it’s more about balancing , strengthening, and flexibility.
We already have some good classes like yoga, balancing & cardio. But more different classes as suggested would be great too!!
I enjoy the friendly staff, the clean organized space and the classes that they offer.
The punctuality, coaches, staff
Excercise classes, social events for seniors, meeting other seniors, etc.
I like the people that are friendly, especially Steve & Sylvia.
Our exercise instructors, Tom and Eliot are fabulous. My husband and I have been faithfully attending for 10 years now. These instructors are very much aware of our physical weaknesses. They are very compassionate. They care about our well-being. Trying their best to keep us entertained. They have been scheduling several events for us❤️

i love the very early morning staff and people that are regulars there.
The staff at Harriet Foster on 34th is impeccable. The staff is kind friendly and always helpful to everyone. I enjoy the SilverSneakers class, the events that they put on for the seniors are awesome. I understand the field trips will be coming back soon. I also enjoyed the cardio pump classes, the body pump classes, and of course the SilverSneakers classes. Thank you for always being supportive of senior health.
The MDA Y is all about its members. Although I’ve recently had some attention-grabbers in areas of my life that are unrelated to the MDA Y, it remains where I go to feel like I am home, welcomed and involved,
Despite this branch’s unfortunate lack of investment in its future by the Greater Houston YMCA, it possesses the essence of “community” that the GH YMCA should be studying and preserving in order to replicate this defining characteristic in its other community branches that, shiny and luxurious as they are, have nothing comparable.
I wish I could share more of my thoughts on this topic, but time and my eyesight do not allow. I appreciate being asked, however, and would love additional opportunities to contribute.
Sincerely,

At MD Anderson, its more abt the people! the community loves our programs even if they are not as often or as well equipped as others simply because the staff and the fellowship of other members make it the the best!
