The friendly and professional staff. The cleanliness in all areas. The machines are for the most part, new. The parking is so easy and the location to the neighborhoods is excellent.

Your staff is amazing! They work so well with my special needs child. We feel accepted and valued. We drive all the way from Kingwood because this place is the best YMCA around.
covered pool is wonderful for year-round swimming/classes
The pool is nice. I wish the hot tub in the ladies room was cleaned and worked better. The edges are kinda gross around the tile. I’m grateful though to have a place to swim. It’s helpful because I deal with chronic pain.

I love water aerobics
My only concern is the shutting down of the pool at my prime time on Wednesdays 1-3PM.. i default to 24 hours on Wednesdays, and that's okay if there isn't any later times to shut down the pool. i was one of the original contributors to the Shadowbend Y when it was still on the drawing board. Love and respect Jerri, Kathy, Coach Megan, my swim mates, the Master's Swim Team, HLG TorriAna and LG Michael.. One concerned member isn't enough to change your policies -- i understand.. The Shadowbend Y is only five miles from home. The water (pool, whirlpool, sauna, locker room and showers) area is superior with a large, heated pool.
The people and classes are The Best!

Not excellent.....
Hot tub is NEVER hot!
I love the classes geared for ages 50 & over. We all feel like a family, although we need more help setting up the chairs, as they are VERY heavy for us & some are 90yr. & older. A little more work to be done there taking care of our elderly, but GREAT classes offered!
Cycle classes. All instructors have been good. Shellee on Mondays at noon, and Laura K on Wednesdays at noon are exceptional.
