Monty Ballard YMCA is wonderful! From front desk staff to trainers ( big Kudos to Kirie Martino) to cleaning staff—all do a great job! I love the family atmosphere. Other gyms tend to feel like meat markets. But at Monty Ballard it feels safe. Very much appreciate the Monday—Sunday hours. Really helps out for those of us who have varying work schedules.
The only things I’m concerned about is the ventilation in crowded classes and the number of unsupervised kids/teenagers using adult equipment. It would be nice if there was an Adult Only section of the YMCA where adult members could work out without waiting for kids to finish playing on the equipment. Also, despite vaccination, Covid is still a big threat to many people with immune issues, heart issues, the elderly, etc. Much more of a threat than flu. I’m dealing with ongoing inflammation issues because of Covid. I wish management would return to keeping the doors open and all fans on in each class/area. It helps so much!

I have only been able to experience 1: the water aerobics on Saturday morning with Yenny. She is fantastic! I get a super good workout. She is always encouraging and makes me want to get the most out of my work out.
I just wish you would have the water exercises at times during the week that those of us who work could take them.
Due to joint issues the water exercises are best for me.

I love that there is a variety of classes to choose from. All the instructors are amazing! Top it off with a Christian based place and what more could I want? Love the Ymca!
I love the instructors! They are so knowledgeable about not only the classes they teach, but fitness in general. They keep me motivated to come back every week, and to try workouts that are a challenge. I feel comfortable asking them all kinds of questions about my fitness, and how I can get the most out of my workouts. I also really enjoy the variety of classes available, and appreciate the way management listens to requests from members.
Instructors are very knowledgeable.
I love the variety of classes available. All the instructors are amazing! I alsoovevthe daycare and how it is broken up into different ages and have activities to engage the children.

I LOVE the FOREVERWELL class s for seniors! The class times are convenient and I love the instructors.
The exercise classes and the instructors.
I would like the time change of the Forever Well Classes to start at 11am or 11:30 instead of the recently changed to 11:45. This new time makes it hard to get our lunch time in a reasonable time. Several people in the class said this make our lunch time too late.
I like the variety of group classes, the different schedules and the kindness of personal workers.
I really enjoy the classes and equipment is in good condition. The staff is pretty nice as well!
I am glad to have the opportunity to let know that my YMCA has the best group classes. You can exercise and have fun at the same time. The teachers are fantastic. You can tell they enjoy also our classes. I always want to say Thank you for making me feel healthily and happy.
I like the varieties of activities but I think you should hold off on having 50 people in the group X room.
Fun instructors, good time table, clean facilities
I absolutely love the Y ! I am really enjoying the programs you have. The classes: Zumba Tone, ForeverWell and Body Pump have been perfect for me. I have an artificial joint and the classes are done in a way where I don't feel I am risking anything, yet I am still getting a great workout. The instructors I have encountered have all had the same message: Go at your pace, do what is right for you and your body, just keep moving. It is so refreshing to have this in comparison to other gyms where if you don't puke you aren't working hard enough. Please keep these classes for us old folk! Thank you
My favorite class is the "Low Impact Combo" wish these would also be offered in evenings after work and on the weekends.
