I love the D Bradley
McWilliams YMCA. It’s my favorite Y in Houston. The childcare employees are phenomenal, responsible, and respectful. The pool is a terrific size. The classes and equipment plentiful and diverse. There are a few suggestions I would like to offer. I would love it if childcare opened at 8 am on weekdays. Also, the Clay road YMCA has an iPad in the spin studio. That way if a virtual class is not ongoing, members can choose one from the iPad and watch it during the interim time between scheduled classes. In the spin studio, I’ve noticed the same 4-5 releases played. There are literally 90+ releases of spin workouts. It would be nice if there was more variety played. The last suggestion I would offer is that when the Navy comes to swim at the pool, they make reservations like the rest of the YMCA members. There have been a few times that they have shown up when 10-12 YMCA members have reserved lap lanes. There literally has not been enough room for everyone to swim. It’s been annoying, and seems like something that could be easily avoided if the navy made reservations and/or the YMCA limited the number of lanes members could reserve ahead of time. I think it would be a less annoying experience for everyone. It’s really disappointing to make a reservation for the pool, bring all your gear for it, and find out the time you’ve set aside to swim is at a loss due to the navy who does not have a reservation, or who has overstayed the hour reservation limit. Thanks for listening to these suggestions. It would be great to see some of these changes.
family friendly and high quality. Christian organization. Clean. Many, many options.
Clean, friendly, variety of machines
We like the pool and free workout areas
I ed to get back on senior sneakers program to impress my friends
There are verity of activities, lots of machines, a great walking track and everything is super clean. The staff is friendly and professional. As a Christian, I appreciate the Bible and prayer wall. After I walk, I pause to read a Proverb or Psalm. I’ve even left a prayer in your prayer wall. Spiritual health is tied to physical health, I believe.
spacious, clean, kind staff

I especially. I've the foreverwell senior programs. It is fun and enjoyable. The instructors are friendly and considerate of the senior needs and are all very encouraging. I wish you can provide us with a better microphone for the teachers so we can all hear especially the ones at the back as we have a big class. Thank you.

Enjoy Pilates classes, overall workout areas are good...however its frustrating that the audio for the FOX channel on the wall TV's doesnt work 99.9% of the time all other channels work.
Several days/options for what I like to do..water aerobics
Great staff! Great facilities!
I want to mention a few employees. Sarah at the front desk at the McWilliams facility is an outstanding person. I just signed up with Kassie as my trainer. Outstanding and very easy to work with.

I love the Forever Well Classes. They’re as challenging as seniors want and need, but are as easy and low impact as necessary. The instructors are very good as well as cordial. I couldn’t be happier.
I also love that Forever Well Classes meet in the Youth building at the back of the property, for ease of parking,
CONCERN #1: this Youth buildings’ Handicap Parking
The parking spots, lot ramp and the sidewalk ramps are probably 50 feet apart. This makes it VERY challenging for the disabled persons.
The disables park in their labeled spots, which are near the lot ramp and then walk 50 feet to the building walking ramp, then up the ramp, then proceed another 50 feet to the door of the building. It’s obvious that the handicap parking and ramps were an afterthought. Please address this issue.
Why not make the outdoor stairway into a ramp, too? That would solve the problem.
CONCERN #2: Also, the other day someone fell after stepping down from the sidewalk to the parking lot because of the slimy build up after a rainy day. That problem was dealt with quickly, however it was a slick issue.
Thanks for asking and listening.
