Training with Chris
at the YMCA is how welcoming and inclusive they are for everyone. There’s a strong sense of community, and it feels like a safe, supportive environment for both kids and adults.
I also appreciate the variety of programs offered—from sports and fitness to educational and youth development activities. They help build confidence, encourage teamwork, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The staff are usually very friendly and dedicated, which makes the experience even more positive.
Overall, the YMCA programs don’t just focus on physical activity, but also on personal growth, social skills, and creating meaningful connections.

Very well-kept facilities, lots of class options, friendly staff, and an emphasis on the Christian in YMCA.
Very friendly people !
Trotter has almost everything we need. I would like them to return to the awesome programming they had for kids while the parents exercised. Now, the kids get a small 10x10 space that does not promote wellness like it did previously. The previous program was great. It allowed the kids space to do homework and run, jump and play. Now, they’re confined to a small space that barely allows them to move. It’s really disheartening.
Helpful and knowlegable people that are also pleasant.
Great leaders and nice community
I went to Sunday's bodystep class, it was so nice to have a Step class on Sunday afternoon! Instructor was awesome!
Bible Study is the only one I have tried but I hear a lot of them are very good.
you can workout with or without your friends
you can swim
you can join groups that play games such as Mexican train dominos or Mahjong etc.
you can have a small breakfast or lunch in their cafeteria
or just go there and read a book
Wonderful classes and activities for seniors. Most appreciated!
Locker rooms need major work. I have bugs in my locker - water from showers not consistent -
carpet dirty after cleaning and most of all lack of supervision in lock room especially on the weekends.
The Trotter YMCA is truly a centerpiece of the community, a beehive of activity. My wife loves the classes; I like the weight and cardio rooms. I know several people who work out about the same time I do and I’ve gotten to know them. They are sweet people and it adds to the joy of my daily exercise.
And by the way, the young man Chris who works upstairs in the weight and cardio rooms is terrific. He is such a sweet person, he talks to everyone and handles issues with grace as they arise. He’s truly a great asset to the Y.
Clean facilities
all of the teachers for the group exercise classes are excellent.
I need to learn more about the programs and activities offered
I like the group exercise classes, especially Zumba. Most of the teachers are really good.

I like that the coaches are committed volunteers and take their responsibilities seriously. They also prioritize team work and good sportsmanship over big wins, while encouraging the kids to bring their A-game to the field.
